Happy Saturday Gemmers!

Have you been wondering what is happening around town since our last update? Well, something meaningful is going on, and I bet you wouldn’t want to miss this one!

What To Do – P&G and MYDIN Special Olympics Campaign

I’m sure you’ve heard about Olympic Games, which are held once in 4 years, and the whole world is passionate about it. But not so many people are familiar with Special Olympics! As the name suggests the Special Olympics provides year-round spots training and athletic competitions for kids and adults with intellectual disabilities and special needs, and gives them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship.

Actually Special Olympics is not far away from us at all! Our own little hero, 14 year-old Dehveyann(born with Down Syndrome, a condition typically associated with delay in cognitive ability and physical growth) is going to represent Malaysia in the 1st Asia Pacific Special Olympics Games in Australia!

To support the development of Special Olympic Games, P&G and MYDIN have rolled out a fundraising campaign!

Starting from 23 Feb 2013 until 15 April 2013, go to MYDIN stores to make a purchase minimum of RM 10 on P&G range of products. You can help reach out to the special athletes by buying the following brands.

Your participation would help to build up purposeful lives for those intellectual disabled ones. Go Shopping Today!

What To Eat – Tasty Little Frozen Dessert

F&N Magnolia Sherbet Passion Fruit

The best part of living in a tropical country like Malaysia is that we can enjoy lasting summer and always having a reason to treat ourselves the best invention in the time of history—ICE CREAM! Am I right, my dear Gemmers? Ha! As an ice-cream lover myself, I have found these little purple bottles that lighten up freezers in all kinds of stores and supermarkets in town.

F&N Magnolia Sherbet introduced its new launched product—Passion Fruit, which is believed to be  an ice-cream that can reclaim your Inner Calm. The secret of this particular Ice-cream is the sweet tangy tastes of Passion Fruit, which is loved by Brazilians for hundreds of years. It is not only famous for its great tastes but also it’s wonderful fragrance. You will experience the peace and tranquility from rainforests of South American with each delectable mouthful.
