FENDI celebrated the arrival of Karlito, the special limited edition Karl Lagerfeld like version of the fun, small and coloured “meteorite-like” fur lucky charm, in the Avenue Montaigne boutique recently. An homage that FENDI pays to Karl Lagerfeld, its Ready-to-Wear and Fur Creative Director since 1965, the longest professional relationship in the fashion world between a designer and a Maison.
First spotted last February on the FENDI Fall/Winter 2014-2015 fashion show exclusively walking down the catwalk in the hands of the top model Cara Delevingne, Karlito is dressed up as Karl Lagerfeld’s iconic outfit with black mink sunglasses, black tie in nappa leather and white shirt, with silver fox body. The crest is a fun touch in kiddasia fur, with stunning variations of pink ,orange and green, for every taste.
The FENDI Karlito, is already a must have item. The waiting lists for the limited edition series have opened the beginning of June 2014, and it will be delivered to the clients starting from September 2014. Be prepared for the Karlito -mania!

Max Mara New Life Project 2014
Meanwhile Max Mara released its New Life Project which features garment made of a new type of high tech fabric called NewLife™ yarn. The name NewLife™ is significant because this yarn is obtained by converting recycled plastic bottles in Italy and transformed into a polymer spun into yarns by means of a 100% Made in Italy mechanical rather than chemical process.
The manufacturing process is highly innovative, fully traceable, entirely mechanical and Made in Italy; it allows considerable savings in water and energy resources and a significant reduction of carbon dioxide emissions. All this translates into an item of clothing, which combines fashion contents with a responsible choice as regards the environment and society.
Sustainability, quality and attention to fashion blend in this cutting-edge style project by Max Mara Weekend, which proudly stems from 100% Italian research.
