Kuala Lumpur was yet again treated to some exciting new store openings and one that is especially true to our hearts from exciting brands like Aesop and Melvita. Do check them out.
The latest Aesop signature shop opened in Bangsar Village II recently. The second such store in Kuala Lumpur , this store’s architecture takes on a local slant with traditional timber louvre shelves that double up as shelves with a warm welcoming pink tone throughout. Aesop, which began in 1987, has long taken pride in all their stores’ designs pursuing an artistic slant whilst respecting the local culture and sensibilities in all of them. Stores usually hold a story of their own is as much a talking point as the products. This second store is the work of Melbourne based Kerstin Thompson Architects. The store is comforting and homely without being overly girly. In the centre, a cement counter – a point-of-sale space also holds the customary demonstration sink where the strength of the products is shown to all customers. From a wide selection of skin, hair and body products, customers are treated to products most suitable to their skin from the extensive formulations by trained consultants.
Expect new stores to be opened in London, Oslo and Miami soon.
Recently opened at 1MK, Mont Kiara, this new store shows off the wide range of natural oils that Melvita is well known for.
