I have a thing for mini dresses. Mini strapless shoulderless dresses that is. This dress never seems to fail me. They are perfect for parties and events. It instantly adds glamour and accentuates the body figure.
Well, long ones are beautiful as well, but they are however appropriate only for certain kind of function. It’s more for the formal events. Whereas, for short tube dresses, you can wear it for clubbing, for parties, be it indoors or outdoors, a company event, okay, you get my drift.
These dresses are so classic and elegant. They enhance your body figure, wrapping around the curves perfectly. Even back then, these dresses are so flawlessly designed. And after that, it keeps on coming. Even up till now, these dresses rock! If you’d noticed, these dresses never fails to turn up on the red carpet! (more…)

This topic has been blogged about before very recently but vintage fever is still raging up until now and there are more and more blogshops selling vintage goodies, so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to do another post on this latest craze in town.
One very good reason why vintage-lovers are, well, vintage-lovers, is that they feel that these granny chic pieces are definitely one-of-a-kind and the chances of seeing a similar dress on another girl is close to impossible. It gives them an outlet to show their identity and personality, by wearing the vintage beauties according to their own unique style.
That said, however, that is probably also a reason why some choose to not wear vintage. Simply because they’re not sure how to wear it and they’re not sure if they look good in it.
But the good news now is, vintage is no longer worn as it is. Every piece can be mixed-and-matched with modern clothing to create a really stylish, unique, and maybe even whimsical fun look!
Here are some looks you can create.
Vintage dresses are the most popular oldies garments right now, so let’s see how you can play around with them.
The oldest trick in the box is to add a playful belt, especially since many vintage dresses come with a bigger, flowy cutting. If the hemline is too long, just yank up the skirt at the waist and cinch with a belt.
Layering is big now, so it’s really kinda fun to pile on your clothes, but in a tasteful way, of course.

This week, we are featuring Jan from Shirts4Real! Emmagem was invited for the Shirts4Real official launch some weeks ago, and we met Jan. So I thought, why not feature a guy this time? His style is very much what most guys would wear. I dare say that because I’ve seen many of ‘em do! It’s because that his style screams relax and chill out, that it’s most suitable for almost any event and even for a clubbing night out!
So, where he get his clothes from? The coat, from Padini. The shirt and the jeans are both from Topman. And the shoes, Nike obviously.
I would say, the gents would look real smart dressed in this style. It potrays a cool casual look where you do not want to go over the top. Just replace the jeans with a pants, and the sport shoes with a leather shoes, then, it’ll be a business suit already. See what a little change can do? A whole lot, I would say!
Some of us are stepping into the working world and some of us already have. As dreadful as it may sound besides embracing responsibility of adulthood, it’s also the main source of income that could feed our shopaholic appetites! So let’s try to make our working days fun!
FUN?!! Yes, you know the saying goes “it’s how you dress that perks up your mood for the day”? Very well then, let’s embrace the working world in style!

Ballerina pumps are all the rage right now… and I love them! I wear mine everywhere I can. They go especially well with my flared Audrey Hepburn like skirt and they look great with my city shorts for work and for play . I also wear mine when I am wearing a shift dress because they sort of make me feel less formal and I get to wear a dress out for the day. High heels and stilettos with a dress is just a bit too OTT for me sometimes.
Guess what, Malaysia’s own homebrand , Lewre is launching its own ballerina pumps and they are mighty pretty! (more…)

On Monday and yesterday, the Viva Fashion Club at Monash University Sunway organized a flea market sale. It is only open to the Monash students (lucky ‘em!), from 11am to 5p.m on both days. It was the first flea market held in Monash campus. From clothes to bags to accessories to soft toys, there were so many variety of items sold there.
I arrived at Monash during the lunch hour. It was quite a distance walking from the car park but the flea market’s selections made it very well worth the walk. The vendors were all located near the entrance where most students walk past before and after their classes. There were 18 vendors altogether there selling their stuffs. Each vendor was given a board to decorate their booths with and to put up their booths’ name!
The vendors that participated were Stitch Project, Bling2Bling, Dolly Sins, Glampot, My Favouritees, Etoffe Boutique, ButtonMyButtons, KolorKulture/PushSkateShop, Ms RedCube, Hugs & Jellyfishes, LOL Tees!,HandMadeTinyThoughts, MyClosetGiggles, Gin & Jacqie, Stepz Creation, Cherry PomPom, NinaKimi and Kemi’s Stall (Most of the shops are listed on our MOFSD, click here). I was at Replacement Boutique, chatting away with some girlfriends, and this girl caught our eyes. My friend whispered … “You have to feature HER!”.
And so I did.
Meet Medina, another owner of the online boutique, the.junksters. She was so busy attending to her customers that she didn’t even realize it was the “Buka Puasa” time. Anyhow, let’s get down to her clothes.
The bf’s shirt and the tiny maroon belt are thrifted from Showpink junkyard sale. The pixel necklace is from froufrou. The vintage bag is well, from her hand-me-downs (my favorite item). Totally vintage. Fluorescent skinny jeans, is thrifted as well. Gold watch is from Casio. Lastly, her bright yellow pumps are from Cats Whiskers!
Now you know how to get retro in a bright manner!

I beg to differ if anyone comes telling me that pink should only be worn as skirts or dresses (think cheerleaders).
Meet Sherelyn Goh, a writer. See how she match her girly colour with the jumper to give the funky look she created? Awesome I tell you.
Now let me tell you girls where she got her outfit from. The necklace is from Topshop, could be worn as a long chain necklace or twice around the neck as done by Sherelyn. Pink vest, from Cats In A Bowl. Her jumpers from Tic Tac Toe. Belt from Mooie. Bracelet form Bangkok. Pink bag from Aldo. Shoes from Nine West.
She’s also a big fan of shopping online! It’s amazing what you can get from these online boutiques. Want proof? Just check out all our featured girls in KL in a Raw!

Charles and Keith at Pavillion KL and also Clarks (very comfy) in almost every shopping mall and Fiorucci (made of leather ) very funky and also very comfortable at Metrojaya stores and Isetan…
How about online stores…anyone can give us a quick update?
Meet Gabriena Lee. 20 year old Monash student. We had this love at first sight for her outfit when we saw her at an event. I’ve never been much of a fan of the quirky glasses until I saw hers and how she match it up with her outfit. She bought it from Vincci only to have it powered so it’s useful as also to make a fashion statement. As for her 2 piece outfit, she got it from her very own boutique - Glampot. Her love for the London street is what influencing her dressing style. I’d say GOOOO QUIRKY!
Remember the safe black opaque? Yep. That’s hot. Bright pink, red or even yellow opaque? That’s hotter.
Know what is even hotter now?
Colourful designs opaque tights.

I fell in love at the sight of it. Dare to wear? Be brave and go out wearing it, make a fashion statement! Trust me when I say you’ll be in the limelight. And by the way, remember, have fun at the same time, girls!
Berry is actually the colour of the coming Autumn Winter and this runs the gamut from a cranberry shade right up to blueberries and any other berries in between, but we have singled out our favorite berry colour, purple, and showed ten fabulous ways to wear the it in every imaginable way and fabric. It is a colour that looks really rich and lustrous and makes one feel like , well… royalty …

We spotted Mei Ng, the owner from Stitch Project. We chatted for a bit, and guess what?
Everything she wore, was purchases from online boutiques! How cool is that?! Her giraffe necklace is from Soak Republic. Playsuit is from Oh! Popsicles. The black belt is from Cat Whiskers. Her Croc sling bag is from her very own online boutique, Stitch Project. Last but not least, her awesome gladiators, from Velvet Ribbons. She was a walking advertisment for online sales. Lolz!
