Look ma, no straps! :)

Aug 8, 2008 Author: karenmarie | Filed under: Advertorials, Fashion, Shopping, Trends

So, I love wearing bare backs and low cuts. The problem is that I always always don’t have the proper bra to make sure the top looks awesome. Its always like too ugly as the bra can be seen. So i’ve tried everything. From Freebras to nipple stickers and the new invisibra just to see which one works better:) We all just want to wear the cute dress without looking too slutty right?

Today I will compare and contrast these three so called “strapless look ma no straps bras”.

Nipple Stickers

Nipple stickers from Fashion Junkee

The first and most common type of “look ma, no straps” would be nipple stickers. It usually comes in cute petal shaped ones. The ones i’ve tried are round ones. Its function is simple. To cover the nipple when wearing a clothes that are too tight or revealing. The main point is to cover the nipples so that when in ahem, cold places, it won’t be seen sticking out. There are many types of nipple stickers, from the ones which are stuck all over to the ones that are not sticky in the middle where the nipples are. I prefer the latter one because there will be less pain when peeling it off.

Pros: Lightweight, no visible “bra” lines

Cons: No perky breasts!

Where to get nipple stickers in Malaysia?
Sasa (1U, KLCC, Mid Valley etc), Watsons, and other beauty stores.

Free Bra / Siliconish bra

When this shop first started selling Freebras, I was so amazed! Like, finally I can wear the tube top with perky and not sagging boobs! So, I bought it, after much inspection of it at Sasa, I bought it online at this shop. I got the package from Pos Laju and whoa, was so excited to wear it. I tried it on and my breasts actually had cleavage without wearing a full supportive bra! So amazing right? It sticks to the breasts. I wore it once to a wedding at a temple and hoo-boy what a mistake that was. Let’s just say I couldn’t wear it again, it won’t stick. But, if you’d likea BIG push up, wear it inside your bra, fits like a silicon. Just try not to sweat in it lah. Other than that, I love how it gives the push!

Pros: Cleavage overload

Cons: Can’t be worn to go out to party. Basically it can’t take sweat.

Where to get freebras in Malaysia?

LaydeeStuff and Sasa (1U, KLCC, Mid Valley etc)

Invisible Bras

Okay, so before i saw invisibra, I never thought I could get the best of nipple stickers and get the lift of freebras. This invisibra is a sticker thing which sticks on to your breasts in the most natural way so that you will get perky boobs! It is not only lightweight, but also quite transparent which makes it look like its not there.

Pros: Sweat Proof, lightweight, perky breasts, with cleavage too:), water resistant, allergy proof.

Cons: Nipple stickers which sticks on the whole nipple. A bit pain when peeling off.

The one and only Quantum Showcase

5th Bijou Bazaar at Jeumpa D’ramo

Aug 7, 2008 Author: Sharyl | Filed under: Fashion, Shopping, Trends

Where: 102 - 104, Jalan Maarof, Bangsar.

When: Saturday 02, and Sunday 03, August 2008

With all the cars park outside the house, there is no indication needed to know where Bijou Bazaar was held. It starts at 11a.m. but by 12noon, you can only find parking far far away from the house. That’s how many people went for the event! The place is packed with sellers having a blast themselves, drinking beers, entertaining customers and laughing happily. But then, it was really stuffy and hot inside the house. There’s air-conditioning, but thanks to the Malaysian hot weather, we’re still sweating. But the heat doesn’t seem to bother fellow buyers, rummaging through the 2nd hand items or diving in for the cheap sales that are going on!

Luscious Lips was there too!

And these were just near the entrance. Can you imagine what was in store for us when we walked upstairs, and outside, and even outside the gate! It was like a party fenzy aka bazaar!

Then this little makeup corner caught my eyes! They are all so pretty!! Jess the owner, is really really friendly. She gives good suggestions on what that suits you best!! For more info on her products go to www.makeupfeverforever.blogspot.com . It’s just what a girl needs to look good before heading for a party/night out!

Snapshot of the 2nd floor, I told you it was jam packed.

There are foods by the pool as well! Keeps you energized for more shopping to do! It’s a busy busy fun fun party party day!

The downstairs view. See why people go crazy for bijou bazaar? This is the reason why they went nuts!.

The lovely ladies, Juelle and Voon from Smooch-us! On that day Smooch also have 2nd hand item, which was going pretty fast as their items are quirky timeless fashion style.

Helooooo…. Curvy Chics! Yes, we do love Curvy Chics sales don’t we?

Myra’s items from RM30-40! What a bargain!!!!

The stalls are in the first-come first-serve basis. So the lucky ones, well, there they are, in the air-conditioned house, covered from the heat of the sun! Some came as early at 8a.m. to set up their stalls. Only, if the air-condition was cooler, it’ll be perfect!

But that doesn’t stop the rest who didn’t make it too early, there were marshmallows sold at the gate of the house, right under the sun! Music was blasting, people making new friends, so yeah, bijou bazaar rocks!

We have so many projects up our sleeves just to make you happy, shoppers!:) We have another secret project in the making too, but for now, enjoy the feedback page:)

Leave a feedback, please?

Emmagem.com has come up with a feedback system for all online shops listed on the Malaysian Online Shopping Directory. Each shop can apply for a feedback page and it is fully managed by emmagem.com.

Before you head on to our MOFSD to shop online, be sure to check out their feedback page and see what other shoppers has said about their shop’s policies, shipping and overall rating!:)

About MOFSD Feedback Page

Online shopping in Malaysia has been around for almost a year now. It has been flourishing and of course, when there’s a lot of demand for it, there would be a lot of complaints and praises for the online shops.

Emmagem.com has been listing all online shops in Malaysia in its Malaysian Online Shopping Directory. Ever since then, we have received a lot of emails concerning the shops that were listed.

Some were praises and others were complaints. Emmagem holds no responsibility on how the shops do their transactions, but all we can provide is a place where customers can leave comments and feedbacks on their transactions with the shops.

We have then made a feedback page for any e-shop that needs to show the public that they are doing a good job at delivering what they are selling and are honest business people!:)

HOW TO leave a feedback?

It is very easy to leave a feedback, even my pet parrot can do it:)

  1. Look at the list of shops here or alternatively, search for the online shops on the top right sidebar .
  2. Click on the shop’s name.
  3. Copy the form provided and paste on the comment box right below all the comments.
  4. Fill in the form and click “Speak”.

That’s all!

Example: Clothes For Fun now has 31 positive feedbacks!!! That shows how much people believe in her and just see the feedbacks given! Its all praises and this shows how good the seller is at her job! Yay to Clothes For Fun. Leave Clothes For Fun a feedback now :)

Pink Box is a shop managed by the multi-talented June! It runs both online (link) and actually has a shop front located in Aman Suria Damansara.

That’s June on the signboard welcoming you:)

Pink box was started by June four years ago. Back then, June sold handmade accessories on online auction and shopping websites such as ebay and lelong. Eventually after years of hard work and determination, June plucked up her courage to open her own shop….

Hence………..Pink Box Boutique was born!!!

Pink Box Boutique has a tagline that goes - ‘Making Gifting more affordable’. This reflects it’s wide selections of products available in the shop. One look inside and you can see the whole load of items displayed in the shop. *points below* (more…)

Question: Corsets

Jul 23, 2008 Author: karenmarie | Filed under: Fashion, Question, Shop Online, Shopping

anyone knows where i can get corsets in KL? apart from la senza that is. they don’t fit me too well. and i’ve gone to xixili. preferably corsets that lean towards the goth-y look.

sylv

Do you want a functional corset, or the ones that look pretty? Lols. Because I’m sure any deparmental stores have lingerie departments with brands such as Triumph etc, which carries corsets/girdles which do quite a good job sucking in the tummy :D

Alternately, you can try these few online shops:

White Strapless Slimming Jacquard RM119 from Yicco

Sexy Lace Corset, RM80 from LingerieHouse

Cheap deal: RM25 corsets from this Ebay seller

Question: Bag Organiser

Jul 6, 2008 Author: karenmarie | Filed under: Fashion, Lifestyle, Question, Shop Online, Shopping

Organize your bag! Image from here

Hey dears ,
I was checking out some shopping sites and I came across this purse/bag organiser which is apparently “all the rage” in some countries. Personally ,I find it to be quite useful as I believe alot of us are lugging big bags and may have problems looking for small objects. I have problems locating my phone since my bag is full of small nessecities and stuff. Would you all kindly advise where to buy this in KL area? Shipping costs alot and it seems too extravagant to spend USD30+ to get it shipped. I’ve attached the picture of the organiser and provided the link to the website.http://www.purseneat.com/index.htm
Hope to hear from you all soon. Will be checking the emmagem.com site for updates.
Thanks=)
xoxo

This may include, purse, camera, handphones, pens, tissue papers, make ups, mp3 players, sanitary pads and any other essentials that you usually transfer to different bags. We know how many bags we have to suit our daily fashion show *winks*. I seriously need one of these, I keep on losing my stuff in each bag i change!

So, where do we get this bag in a bag here in Malaysia?? Click read more to find out! (more…)
