angelina
and…
hi angelina, i totally agree with you. alot of them are not professional. the feedback page doesn’t really proves anything and the emmagem top 100 online boutiques kinda sucks. even the most ugly clothes can appear on the top 5. so i guess we have to make our own judgements
Alissa
This was my reply to them. What say you? Do you agree with them, disagree with them? (more…)

This topic has been blogged about before very recently but vintage fever is still raging up until now and there are more and more blogshops selling vintage goodies, so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to do another post on this latest craze in town.
One very good reason why vintage-lovers are, well, vintage-lovers, is that they feel that these granny chic pieces are definitely one-of-a-kind and the chances of seeing a similar dress on another girl is close to impossible. It gives them an outlet to show their identity and personality, by wearing the vintage beauties according to their own unique style.
That said, however, that is probably also a reason why some choose to not wear vintage. Simply because they’re not sure how to wear it and they’re not sure if they look good in it.
But the good news now is, vintage is no longer worn as it is. Every piece can be mixed-and-matched with modern clothing to create a really stylish, unique, and maybe even whimsical fun look!
Here are some looks you can create.
Vintage dresses are the most popular oldies garments right now, so let’s see how you can play around with them.
The oldest trick in the box is to add a playful belt, especially since many vintage dresses come with a bigger, flowy cutting. If the hemline is too long, just yank up the skirt at the waist and cinch with a belt.
Layering is big now, so it’s really kinda fun to pile on your clothes, but in a tasteful way, of course.
Another crowd pleasure (more…)

We view online shops’ sites like almost everyday and we get updates on our emails all the time, so why not post a few items we saw which stood out from the rest, huh? Check these out:

I love this one from Get Gorgeous (Also, because it is emmagem’s colour!). A Batik Kaftan which would be perfect for Raya visiting next week, RM199.

This one is too awesome, its pretty polkadots makes it look loud, plus wedges are comfy enough for everyday use:) Polkadot wedges, RM38 from Kimekie

Ruffles, ruffles, we love the blue and how it has eyelets on the top. Wear it on its own or with a belt to give some shape. Cobalt Blue Sweetie Pie, RM39 from XOXO.Chic

Some of us are stepping into the working world and some of us already have. As dreadful as it may sound besides embracing responsibility of adulthood, it’s also the main source of income that could feed our shopaholic appetites! So let’s try to make our working days fun!
FUN?!! Yes, you know the saying goes “it’s how you dress that perks up your mood for the day”? Very well then, let’s embrace the working world in style!

As always, we try to find good buys that is within the budget, instead of purchases that cost a month’s worth of salary. So here’s the good news, you can find these awesome outfits online!

Flower Drum was probably one of the first few bag designers that hailed from KL. Designer and owner, Rina Matsui has been designing bags for over 10 years and she sure has an eye for what’s hot. Flower Drum has come up with a new range of designs and boy are they pretty.
Rina, currently based in Berlin makes sure that her bags are of the best quality as she goes around the world to find for vintage fabrics to make the one of a kind bags. Well, they’re not exactly one of a kind, but they only come in 12 pieces per design. So you’d probably be the only 12 people carrying it.
Check out some of her bags:

Deluxe Collection: TSURU print Zarina Jade body, Pearl strap, RM119

I was at Replacement Boutique, chatting away with some girlfriends, and this girl caught our eyes. My friend whispered … “You have to feature HER!”.
And so I did.
Meet Medina, another owner of the online boutique, the.junksters. She was so busy attending to her customers that she didn’t even realize it was the “Buka Puasa” time. Anyhow, let’s get down to her clothes.
The bf’s shirt and the tiny maroon belt are thrifted from Showpink junkyard sale. The pixel necklace is from froufrou. The vintage bag is well, from her hand-me-downs (my favorite item). Totally vintage. Fluorescent skinny jeans, is thrifted as well. Gold watch is from Casio. Lastly, her bright yellow pumps are from Cats Whiskers!
Now you know how to get retro in a bright manner!
Shirts4Real held an official launch for their new line of T shirts last Friday and emmagem was there to witness the event. Shirts4Real has been operating since last year and since then has received tremendous support from their fans. According to Jan, the owner of Shirts4real, each T shirt is painstakingly designed with a meaning to each piece. Not every design is for fun, but each of them has a purpose. Ultimately, their purpose is to make a difference in lives of youth today.
Their launch was located in front of Taylors College Subang Jaya at a small little cafe called Positive Cafe. On that day, they were all there together with friends and family to launch the official partnership with Positive Cafe to sell their T shirts there and also to launch their new line of T shirts called Illuminate. hi, my i know where i can get a pareo skirt to match my kebaya…
Alice
Raya is coming up! We all need those baju kebayas and kurungs for all the yummy open houses, yums!:)

Pareo from Fashion Fetish
If you’re wondering what are Pareo, they are basically just “sarongs” or wraparound skirts. It is a Tahitian word (From what wiki told me). You know like how we wear those sarongs at the beach. Those are basically Pareos.
The basic ones are basically the sarongs and there are many ways to tie them. Men and women alike can wear a pareo. Like guys in Hawaii or even in Malaysia
Some people use some sort of accessory to tie it up together. Watch a video on the many ways to tie a Pareo on youtube here. (This video is so informative on how to tie Pareo/Sarongs. Now I feel like going to Hawaii and wearing a sarong (mengada me)! It is from this website called Pareo.com)
If you want ready made, tied already Pareos, (more…)

p/s: arent these jewellery stands cute & sweet?I want them as well but I donat hve any jewellery..bummer!!
Ok, admit it, we all have so many bags until our cupboards are so full. As a messy person that I am, I usually come home and put the bags wherever there’s place and leave them there until my mum comes and nags me. lol.
How do YOU store your handbags?
Most people find it hard to store bags if they have limited space in their rooms (or for those who do not have a walk in closet). Ooh, how I want a walk in closet when I grow up! lols.

Walk in Closet from the container store
So, since some of us don’t have the luxury of parading bags properly in a closet, here are some ways to store your handbags:
In boxes/baskets. I stay in a typical Malaysian house, and I have one room to myself(no walk ins for me), so the best thing I did was chuck some in a laundry basket thingy. Works well with boxes and any other container like a chest or other big storage area.

Ikea Laundry Bag with Stand, RM45
On hangers in closets/behind doors. (more…)
I beg to differ if anyone comes telling me that pink should only be worn as skirts or dresses (think cheerleaders).
Meet Sherelyn Goh, a writer. See how she match her girly colour with the jumper to give the funky look she created? Awesome I tell you.
Now let me tell you girls where she got her outfit from. The necklace is from Topshop, could be worn as a long chain necklace or twice around the neck as done by Sherelyn. Pink vest, from Cats In A Bowl. Her jumpers from Tic Tac Toe. Belt from Mooie. Bracelet form Bangkok. Pink bag from Aldo. Shoes from Nine West.
She’s also a big fan of shopping online! It’s amazing what you can get from these online boutiques. Want proof? Just check out all our featured girls in KL in a Raw!
