Charles and Keith at Pavillion KL and also Clarks (very comfy) in almost every shopping mall and Fiorucci (made of leather ) very funky and also very comfortable at Metrojaya stores and Isetan…
How about online stores…anyone can give us a quick update?
Meet Gabriena Lee. 20 year old Monash student. We had this love at first sight for her outfit when we saw her at an event. I’ve never been much of a fan of the quirky glasses until I saw hers and how she match it up with her outfit. She bought it from Vincci only to have it powered so it’s useful as also to make a fashion statement. As for her 2 piece outfit, she got it from her very own boutique - Glampot. Her love for the London street is what influencing her dressing style. I’d say GOOOO QUIRKY!
Berry is actually the colour of the coming Autumn Winter and this runs the gamut from a cranberry shade right up to blueberries and any other berries in between, but we have singled out our favorite berry colour, purple, and showed ten fabulous ways to wear the it in every imaginable way and fabric. It is a colour that looks really rich and lustrous and makes one feel like , well… royalty …

Emmagem has always been about the 18 to 24 year olds glampots, but what about the older women? This segment is to answer a request from a reader to show ladies and their styles for the mid 30′ s and above …
Emmagem went out in search of some fashionable , deemed by a lot as “auntie aged” ladies but don’t play play cos these ladies come really packed in high style and glam, after all they have the advantage of age and yes, vintage is very in at the moment and yes, women are like wine, we are smoother and better in quality as we age. There has been a definite revival of vintage in respect of of women in their prime from mid thirties to mid forties , who are really living it up and enjoying and loving themselves very much… look at the recent revival of models like (Vogue did a photoshoot of them togetheras sort of a 20 year anniversary of sorts) Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, these were supermodels in the 1980’s who wouldn’t rise from their beds for anything less than USD10k a day. Then look again at the top Asian faces like Maggie Cheung , Carina Lau and Michelle Reis, late thirties early forties , but they still got that IT factor.
What they have is not youth, but rather youthfulness and certain depth of maturity that can only come with age and having lived through the ages and all that came along with it , sweet, sour , bitter and definitely the spiciness of life and yes , the exuberance for life, the live and let live attitude. So , yes , some of them may be your mother’s age, but never underestimate that your mother can probably give you a good run for your money because style is not defined by age … and let them be inspirations to the young… Hey , I don’t know about you , but I wanna be as fit and wealthy, sorry I mean healthy as Madonna when I turn fifty , so make it sooner rather later yeah!!

Our first KL in the Prime feature is Mohnee, visual merchandiser and business owner…age 43, mother of two young boys . She is in the creative business therefore her work outfit shows that part of her. Functional yet fashionable…
She has on Dorothy Perkins jeans and beaded bodice satin camisole. Her watch is Ball and Ross. Her platform wedges, really love those, are from Charles and Keith. Picture shot at Italiannies , The Gardens at Midvalley.
Do you know anyone who is also inspirational to you and would like to share with us??
We spotted Mei Ng, the owner from Stitch Project. We chatted for a bit, and guess what?
Everything she wore, was purchases from online boutiques! How cool is that?! Her giraffe necklace is from Soak Republic. Playsuit is from Oh! Popsicles. The black belt is from Cat Whiskers. Her Croc sling bag is from her very own online boutique, Stitch Project. Last but not least, her awesome gladiators, from Velvet Ribbons. She was a walking advertisment for online sales. Lolz!
Yes, tartans and plaids are back in big way this fall winter. You can wear it any which way you like , it suits all ages . Wear it punklike over short skirts or wear it as a jacket for work (hey , you can wear form 15 to 50 years, if you are cool enough maybe into your 60’s like Vivienne).. either way, you will be the envy of the highlander and every other fashionista.
Vivienne Westwood (punk rock designer) is one designer who found fame with tartan plaids and over the years has glamorize a material design steeped in clannishness and instead spread kinsmenship across the the fashion world with her use of tartan. This season , Dolce and Gabbana reinvented the wheel with tartan plaids coming in the form of cool tartan tights and the once tough tartans materials usually made from wool was given a soft touch in the form of billowy silk dresses… (more…)

Kate by Intoxikate is a new store opened at CapSquare at the heart of Kuala Lumpur. It is a sister shop by Intoxikate in Bangsar. Well more like a baby sister shop.Â
Unlike Intoxikate, Kate is a hip boho chick who just loves cool vintage finds and flea market treasures. They also carry cool chunky accessories and vintage goodies at their shop. Gotta visit Kate by Intoxikate soon!:)
I myself has never been to Capsquare. . .So, yes, I’ve never been to Kate by Intoxikate, but i do always visit Intoxikate, Bangsar which has shifted places in BSC during the renovation.
Anyone been to Capsquare? How is the mall like?
Last Sunday, we were there again at Chics Closet in BSC. Well, the weather wasn’t much different compared to the previous week but what makes up for it is, well.. the vendors!

The banner stand, you just can’t missed it.

On the way into BSC, there’s a big white canopy outside WIP. And there’s where the party is! This time around, there are different vendors to feed our appetide! Yay! (more…)
Yes you read it right. Dress to shop that is. With all these bazaars and sales going on, who’s staying home? Not me! Who wants to look all pretty while doing their thing? Definitely me!! So you planned your destination, be it shopping malls or fashion boutiques, either way, you need to run to a few (at least lah!) shops to get the bargain goods you need/want. (Oh, btw, when it comes to shopping, needs and wants are the same, don’t cha think so? lolz!)
Instead of ruining your shopping day, the main key to have a great one is to DRESS COMFORTABLY! leave those 4inches heels to kill at events or a great girl’s night out. See some usefulness instead of pure fashion of wearing gladiators now?
Okay, well the whole point is, wear something comfortable. Something that is easy to take off and put it on again. Guess what? Slip ons dress are the best for this shopping occassion! Yet of course, you’d still wanna look awesomely good in it. See how comfy yet so much in style you can be?

taken from NYC streets
Due to our hot and warm weather here in Malaysia, dressing in body hugging tops or the jeans-that-clings-to-your-legs just may end your shopping trip early (Read : missing out on great bargains and then regret about it). Sometimes, the dressing rooms are filled with the long queues that it just turns you off, yet, you don’t wanna let go of the to-die-for bargain items. What do you do? That’s where slip on dress comes to the rescue! Stand in front of a mirror, if you can’t find one, get a friend for help. Just try on the shorts or slip over the top you have chosen there and then! But please be careful, you don’t want to be thrown out by the security for indecent exposure. (more…)

yes, we tried to sell jewelry. so fail. Let’s just stick to reporting the event and leave the selling to the experts, ya?

Over the weekend, there were so many bazaars around. We couldn’t cover all, but we did go to Chics Closet at WIP Bangsar Shopping Centre. Chics Closet was awesome. It was from 11am till 6pm. The day started out slow. . . but eventually later in the day, everyone came in slowly, but surely.

“Old-fashioned without the age, dolly dresses, brilliant and milky colors combined, sometimes oriental in the mix, fifties pinup glamor makeover, less than perfect, little-big-girl with a nerdy/librarian twist and overall, frugal!” Ana
Emmagem’s Comments:
Ana , we love her cool red tights and the heart pendant …The whole ensemble was made chic and stylish with the right splash of colour , it was well thought out and contains all the element of the lastest look like tulip skirt , yet it has a certain classic feel to it. It certainly makes her one stylish lecturer (yes she is a lecturer). We knew she would be the winner at first sight!-yetmee

Emmagem’s comment:

Emmagem’s Comments:
Manda was our last candidate and seeing her photos made us re look again at our finalists , we love her unique style and sexy insouciant air about the way she wore the esmeralda look! Hat - Was a birthday present
Grey Tank Top - Cotton On
Brown Leather Suspenders - Small Unnamed Shop
Black Pants - MNG
Shoes - Vincci
What’s her style?
“I love early 20th century outfits, and the class that they bring. Clean cuts and lots of white and black with minimal colour. Other than that, I’m usually quite casual. I’m a huge fan of denim, and anything unique and eccentric. I love earthen tones and natural fibers. I like seeing skater-surfer influences in clothing as well, I guess it only makes sense since I’ve lived near a beach all my life.  To narrow it down, I guess I often alternate between clean-and-classy styles, mildly boho themes or just being a beach bum. Sometimes it finds it’s way altogether, though…When it comes to style, I think - Casual, Comfort, and Quirky. Biggest Weaknesses : Bags, Sweaters, Flip-Flops and Sneakers.” Nicole
Emmagem’s Comments:
Nicole’s attitude with her boyish ensemble was refreshing and captivating. The whole outfit was playful and yet sensuous , playing up her femininity!…very in trend…-yetmee

Li Ling’s outfit at one glance was simple , but a study of the way she matched all the accessories and glamorise the simple knit dress was interesting.
