So I woke up one day, feeling a little weird as I had some stomach pain. I had to wake up at that ungodly hour of 630am to make it to my 8am lecture (How boring). As I drove my car, I had my daily dose of yogurt drink and reached college at 745am. Since I had some time, I decided to go to the toilet to pee. I checked and omg, my period came. I looked quickly inside my handbag to see if I’ve brought any, and to my horror, NONE!
Class started as I re-entered my lecture hall. I went to sit beside my girlfriend, took out a piece of paper and wrote:
She smiled at me with a cheeky face and mouthed “NO”, looked into her bag and brought out small little bag and inside of it was a sweet pink packet of pad. (more…)

I have a confession to make. It’s some thing I kept from everyone I knew ever since I grew out of it in my college years. Its so memalukan (Shyful) come to think about it as we were so young and naïve and had no fear at all. If you asked me to do it now, alone, I would be very scared. But with my friends from high school, I believe we can re-live the memories.

Hello, my name is Karen and I am a Boyband-a-holic.
LOLS! When we were young, my friends and I used to stalk boybands. The closest one we met were the guys from Blue. You know the British boy band that graced our land in the 90’s? It was a pretty scary experience, but we had no fear, but we had our friends and of course, the love of our boy band. The “stalking” started in JWW Marriott in Kuala Lumpur and there were security guards everywhere. We were so cool in our behavior and just walked in like we own the place. Mind you, we were 15 at that time, and there were like 4 of us. But omg, we seriously were so determined to meet them.
So there we were in our half choir clothes (We told our choir teacher after a competition that we had tuition in KL City and asked to be excused. We just changed out tops), running all around Mariott Hotel trying to blend in the crowd. It was hard work trying to find them in between press conferences and interviews. I remember I even had my period then and I had to come clean with my friends and tell them that I can’t run very fast, but they understood me and made sure I’m alright. Together, we sneaked around the hotel and managed to get to the gym floor where there was a tennis court.
Guess what?
So the other day, I was uber bored. You know being Raya long holidays and all. All I did was bum around until my mother decided to make me drive to the grocery store. So, reluctantly I went into the grocery shop nearby and decided that I shall do something out of the ordinary. I walked around and bought this new Shine 0% fat yogurt drinks. I saw the advertisement on the TV and boy was I one of the advertisement slave. I bought it because of the advertisement.
They come in 5 flavors (from left to right) Lemon Lime, Apple Aloe Vera, Peach passion, Strawberry Raspberry and Orange Mango. I couldn’t decide on which one to buy, so heck it, I bought them all just for fun. It was only RM2 per bottle. Small bottle 220g ones, not the big one. We all need to do something random at one point of our lives, right? That’s what life’s all about…(ok, I will stop rambling now).

On 19th September, emmagem went to the launch of a new range of furniture and home accessories entitled Rediscover Past Treasures by Tridi Sdn. Bhd. The launch showcased their inaugural products entitled Cloud 9 and Spring. This collection shows a series of art boxes , chairs, rugs , mirrors and trays with drawings of clouds from the Cirebon batik tradition. And true to their rejoicing of the tapestry and diversity of Asian cultures , you will find that the batik prints on the lampshades are printed in Malaysia but the surface for the tray and chairs are made from the traditional Vietnamese craftsmanship of silkscreen lacquer. Being designers as well as architects, there were cute pieces of lampshades attached to a mirror for easier illumination for instance and also lampshades fixed on a wooden stick for a more natural look , one presumes. The end results are beautifully designed and exquisite pieces but yet functional at the same time.
Hey people, okay, so it was a tough choice, we had to randomly choose 11 from first round of elimination of the slogan part. It was a hard decision, if we could, we would bring everyone with us! But, don’t worry, you’ll get win other prizes at emmagem. Just keep on trying

Ballerina pumps are all the rage right now… and I love them! I wear mine everywhere I can. They go especially well with my flared Audrey Hepburn like skirt and they look great with my city shorts for work and for play . I also wear mine when I am wearing a shift dress because they sort of make me feel less formal and I get to wear a dress out for the day. High heels and stilettos with a dress is just a bit too OTT for me sometimes.

So on august 2nd, I went to the MTV Asia Awards. It was uber awesome as I was at the red carpet and mosh pit (oklah, I never met the stars or whatever). but hey, I got to be an awesome fan:)
Anyways, I wore the invisibra that day underneath my black spaghetti strap top and a thin long sleeved shirt. At Genting mar, cold schomold. So anyways. The invisibra comes in a 2 pieces of sticker. One a nipple sticker and another the one to stick it up. It is a bit tricky to wear the Invisibra properly. First you have to stick one part of it, then pull up the breast then only stick it up. It is like sticking 2 pieces of flesh together. Do it properly, and oh my, your breasts will be perky No pictures lah, a bit too obscene to show my private parts, ahem. lols.
So I braced the mosh pitters with my invisibra! It stayed on during the red carpet event, and boy was it crowded and did I jump and run all over the place trying to get the best view. Boobie check - still perky!:)

The Red Carpet was really awesome. It was my first time in any red carpet and I was so close to the stars. Okay, I know it may not be the grammy awards or anything, but it was really fun. I got to touch so many stars lols
So anyways, since we were at the red carpet event, we were placed behind the media. So when the stars started pouring in, they came to say hi to us and then posed for the camera. So, we faced their butts -_- I took so many pictures of the stars that graced the carpet on MAA :)
