Some people say the best things in life are free. And how right they are! emmagem.com is a FREE fashion and lifestyle e-zine. emmagem.com strives hard to provide valuable information and opinions of the Malaysian youth today. We aim to empower and enrich the lives of young women today.

emmagem.com’s VISION

A bunch of us got together one day and thought how can we make the world a better place in 2006…and eureka! The big light of brilliance nearly blinded us, what makes women happier then being motherly, well shopping and beauty, of course. And happy women make husbands happy, so create happy families, produce great kids, hence better world. But, that will be stereotyping women and their roles, and unfair to all women, single, married, mothers or otherwise.

EMMAGEM is really about building individualism expressed through sense of fashion and lifestyle and what we share is no more and no less than our observations and perspective on things from fashion right down to just good ol’ plain, life. We would like to think that we have at the end of the day encourage women to recognize their contribution to this world and be a part in being a voice for women in recognition of their strengths and entrepreneurship.

From our first issue of EMMA (then called EMMA), as it was then known till now, it has gone through many evolutions and has today become the fashion blog and directory that it is. We hope it will be the beginning of many great things. It started as a newsletter to sell our range of jewelry named EMMA GEM another and it was then another strategy to sell our jewelery under the label EMMA GEM, well, yes if you find them attractive and will enhance your life, please we’ll really appreciate your patronage.

But the OTHER and more important reason is really to share our passion on fashion with you and hopefully we will learn some answers to questions that boggles us wanna -be- fashionistas all the time.

We have since mid 2006 used EMMAGEM as our website’s name because we liked the sound of of it and it gives us a little thrill that every time the name is mentioned it is like a reminder that we are each precious. And EMMAGEM is now a very powerful fashion website with a shopping directory that has over 200 e-online shops and growing , our unique hits at press time is about 70,000 a month (April 2008).

Who is “we” and “us” you might ask… and what kind of questions, well you know, how to get more (fashion that is) for less, should we match our shoe colors with our outfit or bag, how to shop online, what ’s in and what’s not… what is style really? Okay, you may ask what has this got to do with you, you have bills to pay, a car that drinks petrol and house rent to pay, really no money and no time-lah to splurge except during the next Sales event…well, guess what, same here… what we hope to do is share insights on how to buy , where and what especially during Sales and any deals we deem as specials ! We don’t believe that you are only stylish when you use a GUCCI bag. Hey, who needs to know how and where you got them,we focus on the end results, and the end will definitely justify the means and online shopping is definitely the way for some mighty tecnho savvy fashionistas!

With EMMAGEM , please look forward to some sometimes smart suggestions, sometimes funny anecdotes, travel tips, crystal tips, fengshui, romance, relationships and maybe even sex, but better yet don’t expect anything just sit back and read the latest and LIVE news from the international fashion world and just click and browse in our shopping directory.

Emmagem Gives Back!

As part of our giving back to the community mission, emmagem will donate every* RM5 * (subject to change from time to time at our discretion) of each advertisement we get! So each time you advertise with emmagem.com, a portion of the money we receive will be donated (in some form or manner ) to a charitable organization for women and/or children of choice. Our Shopping Directory lists all known and even unknown boutiques in Bangsar, Hartamas, Subang and other areas. Our AIM is to promote and help fashion entrepreneurs from the whole of Malaysia to be recognized.

We have an online fashion shopping directory called the Malaysian Online Fashion Shopping Directory where we lists all online shops that operate in Malaysia! We currently have over 200 e-shops listed here.
