I n all honesty, I have yet to find a Nivea product that has impressed me. So far all they seem to be able to come up with is nice packaging, lots of variety, but lack of results. And the latest product that I tried – the Nivea Visage Aqua Sensation Anti-Shadow Eye Cream - is no different.
Like I said previously, Nivea scores when it comes to packaging their product and this one is no different. The eye cream comes in an adorable light blue mini tub which is easy to carry around and convenient to use that much I agree. But other than that…. I don’t really have anything spectacular to say about it. Once again it seems to be less than satisfactory when it comes to results.
This product claims to wake up your eyes with an instant sensation of freshness, and its light cream with cucumber extracts is suppose to revive the eye area. It is also enriched with magnesium and ginseng and is suppose to effectively reduce puffiness and the appearance of the dark circles under the eyes.
I tend to stay up late a lot and not get enough sleep especially during the weekdays, so needless to say I have dark circles under my eyes which I definitely need to do something about. I don’t really suffer from puffy eyes, but dark circles is a problem for me.
While the product is refreshing when you apply it like it claims, I didn’t really see much of a difference after a certain period of using it. My dark circles are still visible, and the only thing I seemed to have gained out of it is that it feels cooling on the skin upon application.
It does absorb quickly onto the skin and feels pleasant and cooling, but results wise there wasn’t really much of a difference for me.
