A Little Too Salt-y

All right Angelina Jolie fans, if you haven’t already watched her latest movie Salt, then you probably won’t want to read what I have to say….because I didn’t think it was all that great! Angelina has been famous for some pretty good movie roles in the past, among which were Tomb Raider and Mr. & Mrs. Smith, but this movie really didn’t do anything for me at all.

Jolie plays the role of Evelyn Salt, a CIA Agent who is accused of being a Russian spy sent to assassinate the Russian President. Salt goes on the run and is forced to rely on all her skills as a trained agent to escape those who are pursuing her. Salt attempts to clear her name, but in the process, her identity is questioned and Salt will need to determine where her loyalties lie.

OK, first off, the only good thing that I can say about this movie is you gotta admire Jolie because the woman certainly knows how to play action roles. In that aspect, she doesn’t disappoint. But the rest of the movie seems like it could use a pinch of salt all right, because it certainly fell flat.

To start with, Salt spends almost ¾ of the movie running around and shooting people. I do like good action movies, but there is such a thing as too much action in one movie. It seemed like almost every other scene was intent on showing off just how good Jolie can be in action roles to a point where I was very nearly on the brink of boredom.

Jolie has certainly had her better movies, but unfortunately, this isn’t one of them.

I would give this a two star rating.

    Angelina Jolie is a very good actress, I kind of like the way she expressed herself in the movie. She was running away shooting everyone was because she knows that her husband was in danger. Alot of actions, one of my friend even commented her moves was better than Bruce Lee. :)

    I would say it is an exciting movie and I thoroughly enjoy it. 4 star I gave. ;)

    Haha I agree with you elise. The action parts were awesome! Loved watching jolie kill people. But the storyline was pretty blegh. Great review.:)
