Purr-fect Lashes, Thanks To Maybelline!

I absolutely love mascara! Bless the person who came up with this wonderful invention as the answer to many girls’ prayers, so girls like me who are not blessed with thick, long and curly lashes can actually have an alternative solution.

There is nothing that really opens up the eyes and makes your lashes look fabulous quite like mascara. I’m always browsing the make up shelves of different cosmetic brands, checking out the latest mascara products they have. The most recent one to catch my eye? The Maybelline Volume Express Cat Eyes Hello Kitty Mascara.

Actually, what really grabbed my attention was the pink tube with the black cat-like stripes and Hello Kitty image on it. OK, I’m not really a fan of Hello Kitty and I don’t understand why some people go crazy for Hello Kitty, but I have to admit Maybelline’s packaging for this product is kind of cool, even though I would NEVER purchase a Hello Kitty product ordinarily.

But then again the product offers 5 times more curl and “cat eyes” is usually the effect we want to achieve with our eyes as it looks sexy, so what the heck, I decided to give it a go. Maybelline so far has had a good reputation with their mascara range, and they continue to do so yet again.

I really like how this mascara stayed all day from the time I left my home in the morning right up to the time I got home at night. The product claimed it provides 18 hours of curl, and you know what? They’re right! My lashes really did remain curled all throughout the day! I love it!

The only thing I didn’t like about it was I’m not too crazy about the brush for this product. This mascara’s wand is not like the usual mascara products because this one is shaped like a flat comb. And the bristles were a little bit too hard for my liking. But the brush is meant to be like that to help separate the lashes for a more fanned out look, and it does! It looks good and everything, but I still prefer a brush with softer bristles.

Overall, the product has done exactly what it has claimed so yes! I would definitely recommend it for all you other mascara-crazy girls out there.
