My favourite movie of all time has got to be the 1995 teen comedy Clueless. You know how some movies just remain stuck in your head even though it might have been years? Yes, this is one of them – one that’s still one of my perennial faves. I was a fifteen years old back then and boy oh boy, did this movie make me want to blossom into a fashionista!

It was truly a great film to watch – with the super-witty dialogue, it was almost impossible to avoid being enamoured with the characters amazing and enviable style. Honestly, I was obsessed with the fashion in Clueless – from those knee-high socks to faux-fur bags and mini-skirts to platform Mary Janes. Cher, Dionne and Tai’s 90s fashion vibe was like my fashion bible at that time and now, a little something special from the movie is back to dazzle us all! I’m lovin’ this piece of news!

Just a couple of days ago, our writer hannef mentioned that fashion from the 90s are finally on revival. He is absolutely right because Calvin Klein designer Francisco Costa is bringing back Cher’s (played by Alicia Silverstone) white dress from Clueless – thanks to Ilaria Urbinati, celebrity stylist and co-owner (along with Danny Masterson)of the L.A. boutique Confederacy. Urbinati reportedly “geeked out” after meeting Klein’s creative director Francisco Costa.

Vogue UK reports: “I went into a spazzy explanation of how my formative-years love of Calvin was partly based on the little white Calvin mini dress Alicia Silverstone wears in Clueless,” Urbinati told Daily Front Row. “I re-enacted the entire scene for him (you know, ‘Cher, what are you wearing?’ ‘A dress!’ ‘Says who?’ ‘Calvin Klein!’ ‘Well, go put something over it!’ ‘Duh, I was just going to!’ and then she comes out with the clear trench). So of course I said, Francisco, you need to remake that dress.”
