In support of Mother Nature and making our earth a better, greener place to live in for the future, the Estee Lauder Companies (ELC) in collaboration with The Gardens Mall and Mid Valley Megamall bring you the “Beautiful Earth” Campaign. The campaign will run from June 1^st – July 4^th in Mid Valley Megamall and The Gardens Mall.

 

The month long campaign aims to reduce the use of one-time plastic and paper bags, raise monies to rehabilitate the mangrove forests in Kuala Selangor and educate the public on the importance of mangrove swamps and why they need rescuing. Why Mangrove trees? Because Mangrove trees especially are one of Mother Nature’s best gifts as it absorb pollution, filter the air, create breeding grounds for marine life and provide jobs for villagers living along our coastal line.

 

At the launch of the campaign, Loo Kai Nan, Managing Director of Estee Lauder Companies Malaysia announced the company’s contribution towards this campaign by planting a tree in every one of its employee’s name. He also encouraged the public to buy a bag for every member of their family.

 

Gabrielle Tan, Director of Marketing for The Gardens Mall said “Here at Mid Valley City we believe in doing our best for the environment and have supported numerous projects from Earth Hour to Green Ribbon Day. During the campaign, for every RM25 donation, customers will receive the chic and practical Beautiful Earth reusable bag, and a tree will be planted on their behalf.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Beautiful Earth Education Road show will be running at Mid Valley Megamall, West Lobby, Ground Floor from June 1 to 20^th and the Gardens Mall (Palm Area), Ground Floor from June 21 to July 4^th, 2010.
