Unfamiliar with New York’s circle of socialites, I first heard and seen Olivia Palermo in the first season of MTV’s The City. Although her bitchiness made me feel like ripping her perfect, luscious hair apart, I couldn’t help but fall in love with her impeccable sense of style. One look at her and we can definitely  tell that Olivia Palermo is a girl who knows her fashion, maybe a little too well sometimes that we started to roll our eyes when we see her mix of Chanel, Valentino and Thakoon.

Aside from her short (some say, fake) stint at DVF in the TV series, Olivia is currently working as an accessories editor for Elle and at the same time actively involved with charity like Opsmile.  Unlike other socialite-type celebrity, Olivia hasn’t been in any racy videos, jail or sex related controversy. The most controversial drama involving her so far is the discovery of an email allegedly sent by her, pleading for social acceptance from her other fellow high-societies.  Her father has since sued the website which made the email public, but Olivia will always be a desperate social climber to other NY’s fellow socialite and based on my internet research, most girls still ‘kinda’ hate her.

But regardless of all that, desperate is definitely not the word to use when it comes to Olivia Pallermo’s undeniably chic style. She has got the fashion down to the T in every events and parties that she attended. Her signature look has to be her shrunken blazer paired with slim cut pants and heels. This actually stemmed from her love for menswear and influence from Scott Schuman’s (The Sartorialist) photographs.

Olivia also looks ultra-chic in dresses. Be it flowy or short, she mixes them well with statement jewelries as well as black tights. She cited Bensoni, Victoria Beckham, Valentino, Rachael Roy and Matthew Williamson as her favorite dress designers.

Olivia was recently invited to document her daily outfit for Vogue blog which is a perfect opportunity to share her passion for fashion and her enviable wardrobe pieces with all of us. Based on her 30days outfit post, we can see how she always wears something that is on trend but somehow managed to make everything work for her by giving it her own little twist. She has worn pastel, floral, military jacket, sailor stripes even a Prabal Gurung dress which are basically stuff that came straight from the pages of fashion magazines. And the best part is we can always see Olivia Palermo somewhere in there.

If you ask me, I have to say that I still kinda hate her in The City. But I guess her fashion makes up for that and with that I guess all of us should forgive Olivia Palermo for being such a TV b**** and fashion darling all in one time.
