I was invited to attend a party at Calvin Klein Accessories, specially held for their selected customers as well as CIMB credit card holder. All items on the rack were on sale for up to 20% discount and the best part is these are all items from the latest Spring/Summer 2010 collection.

The event started off with the unveiling of the new collection featuring models parading all the bags, sunglasses, shoes and other accessories down from one little platform to another. They are all dressed in the Calvin Klein latest collection in the shades of white, grey and beige. Some people might call it boring but I like the fact that Calvin Klein always stays true to their minimalism aesthetics which made them famous in the first place.

The accessories are actually part of the look presented throughout the show as they completes the rather somber ensemble by adding dash of colors like bright orange, yellow, blue and metallic.

The bags are mostly made from leather and canvas with added details like python print on handbags, quilted clutch and embossed wallets for men. I’m very thrilled about the men’s bag. They are special because they come in blue with totally fuss-free designs. Most men’s bags are either in the usual black and brown or too heavily embellished. It was exciting to see something different but still not too over the top for a change.

One more thing about Calvin Klein is although the combination of white and grey most of the time being mistaken for all things futuristic, Calvin Klein make them look soft and earthy with the use of lightweight fabrics and easy fit. Even the accessories on display are placed on rocks that lent this outdoorsy feel to the new collection.

Overall a simple yet very chic party. The RM100 voucher for all attendees didn’t hurt either.

So head on to the 1st floor, Suria KLCC to witness first hand what ck Accessories is all about.
