I have a confession to make – Kelly Kapowski (played by Tiffani-Amber Thiessen) was my idol… when I was ten. Yup, never did I miss an episode of Saved By The Bell. My parents had to practically drag me away from the television because I was completely obsessed with the show and with Kelly Kapowski’s style. Hey, I might have been a kid back then, but I still tried my best to emulate her style – those acid wash denims, cropped tops and colourful scrunchies too!

The vivid 80′s fashion trends may have made a flashy comeback sometime ago, but it’s now time for us to welcome the 90′s flair – particularly crop tops. Yes, ladies – the Kelly Kapowski-style is one of the hottest trends right now. Never thought this day would come? Oh well, it fashion – expect the unexpected!

The minute I heard cropped goodies were in style, I TRIED to get myself to start doing crunches. And so I did, for… a day and then I came up with an easier way to wear it instead. Just like Coco’s Tea Party, I find that there are a few ways to wear crop tops. As the saying goes: When you’ve got it, flaunt it @ SJP’s style. If exposing your bare midriff is not your kind of thing, take the easy peasy Kate Bosworth way instead – wear a crop top over a longer tank. You could also opt to pair up your crop top up with high-waisted bottoms i.e. skirts, pants or shorts. See, it’s all about coming up with other solutions to make the trend work for you! And yes, it’s very possible to do so.
