Youth Anyone?

Ah, the never ending quest for eternal youth. It’s something that all of us girls have in common. We all want to look younger and we’re always looking for the right skin care products that’ll help us do so. We gasp at the wrinkle, shudder at the fine lines, and scramble to look for anything that’ll help turn back the clock and help us regain our youthful skin. Skinz Cosmetic was launched not long ago with actress Chermaine Sheh as its spokesperson.

Last month, I was totally hyped when I got to try the Skinz Infinite Bio-StemCell Activator skincare range and I eagerly grabbed the chance to do so. I got the whole range, from the cleanser to the serum and I couldn’t wait to get started on it.

The Skinz Infinite Bio-StemCell Activator skincare range is a range that is designed to kick start your skin’s self-renewal process. It has been a month since I started using it, and although there is no totally obvious and dramatic difference, I have to admit that my skin does look better than when I started off, and I do feel really fresh and rejuvenated after the facial routine. Here’s my verdict on the products in the line-up:

Skinz Infinite Hydreclean Cleansing Cream: This soap-free cleanser is awesome! I really love it because my skin feels so fresh and clean after I’ve used it. And the great thing about it is, it really thoroughly cleans my skin without drying it out. With its pleasant smell and refreshing feel, it is definitely one of my favorites in the range.

Skinz Infinite Hydreplenish Glacier Toner: Talk about a burst of hydration on your skin! The toner really does do what it claims, and that is your skin instantly feels refreshed and hydrated. Made from pure Swiss Glacier mineral water, it was heaven on my tired skin, especially after a long, hard day of work.

Skinz Infinite Youth Recall Day Moisturizer: The moisturizer comes with SPF20PA++, and is suppose to reverse the signs of ageing and strengthen your skin structure. Hmmm, so far I see no clear, visible difference on my skin, but the product does feel good, although I still had some dry spots around my T-Zone area especially.

Skinz Infinite Youth Recall Serum: The serum claims to correct the signs of ageing and boost cell regeneration. OK, again here I did not see any dramatic obvious difference on my skin (probably because I don’t have any obvious signs of ageing just yet), but like the moisturizer, it feels good on the skin. If you’re using the moisturizer during the day, then I’d recommend you use this at night, because for me, if I use all of it in one go, it feels like I have too much product on my skin for the day.

Overall, this range gets a thumbs up from me, and I would definitely go for it again. Especially when it has the added bonus of reversing the signs of ageing with continual use. After all, what woman doesn’t want to look younger everyday, right?

  3. Hi, Jenny, really sorry to hear about the pigmentation and age spot problem . Jenny, I have developed some myself so I kinda know what you are going thru. The reasons for age spots I was told is ageing due to hormonal imbalance and also sun damage. Don’t feel too desperate about it, stress is very AGE-ing. One thing you have to know is no matter wat treatment you do it only lightens but never reduce totally. Laser treatment which takes off a whole layer of skin and gives immediate “results”; can also be irreversibly damaging if you do not take VERY proper sun protection after that and if you meet an overzealous doctor who takes too much skin off too soon.

Btw, I have never heard of a diamond facial…so no comments. I know Sothys has a very good rejuvenating facial treatment, I am using one product from it!

I could suggest all sorts of lightening cream which gives an overall lightening but you still need to double your sun protection and a change in lifestyle when caring for your face thereafter. No unnecessary sun exposure and if necessary make sure you SUNBLOCK , SPF 50 from a reputable brand. (L’oreal works for me, Lancome’s UV Expert SPF50 and also SPF 90 recommended by a dermatologist but will need to check brand again has also work for me) . Proper hydration is also very important, in fact a laser specialist once told me not to bother thinking laser unless I am willing to reconsider changing my moisturizing/hydration routine in my lifestyle. Yes, drinking lots of water helps anyway (2 litres)…

I think you should just consult a dermatologist , get a second opinion. But look again at a healthy diet , do some good exfoliation (ZOn by Dr Zain Obagie ) is a good product for that. Stay out of the sun, drink lots of water … Last but not least , Jenny we are not measured by a few pigments and skin discoloration…so don’t worry too much about it. It took me a while to get here, but now it’s love me love my spots . But I am also taking care and using good products rather than using any products recommended out of sheer desperation….
