We know that a first impression is everything, and when it comes to the dating game, don’t underestimate the importance of the term “dress to impress” because it has never been more literal than it has now. Many girls can sometimes be clueless about the importance of dressing right. Blindly following the latest fashion fads is a big no-no if they don’t look good on you.

While it is true that most women wish they were model slim so they can look good in just about anything they wear. But believe it or not, it is not about your size, but about the way you dress and carry yourself that will leave an impression with the guys. You don’t have to be stick thin to look attractive, because I know a lot of girls who may not be super skinny, but they look beautiful and dress well just the same.

teensSo how do you dress to impress the guy you fancy? Different guys would have different ideas on what they find attractive on a girl, but after asking around a couple of guys for their opinions, here are some fail-proof ways you can dress and things you can do make sure you leave a good impression:

1. Be Clean

To guys, nothing is a bigger turn-off than a girl who looks like she does not make an effort to look after herself. Dirty fingernails, messy hair, spot-stain clothes and legs that have not been shaved are major turn-offs on the dude list. So ladies, if you’re going out with your man, please make an effort to groom yourself. Take a shower, shave your legs, make sure your clothes are freshly ironed and neat and you look polished and well-groomed.

2. Heels Are A Girl’s Best Friend

Love them or hate them, high heels are a girls’ best friend. Guys find girls who wear heels look much more attractive, even if they may be wearing simple jeans and a tank top that those who wear flip-flops and sport shoes. Heels make your legs look longer and leaner, and you look more feminine and graceful. Opt for heels that you are comfortable with, and avoid wearing ones that are too high because you don’t want to look clumsy or awkward.

3. Make-Up As Naturally As Possible

Good make-up application can do wonders to enhance your looks. But don’t go overboard, because you don’t want to look like an artificial doll. Men prefer women whose make-up looks naturally beautiful, not with a thick-layer of overdone, over-the-top make-up that looks completely unnatural and just screams in an obvious way that you have make-up on. The trick is to look as though  you’re barely wearing any make-up at all. If you’re no expert and need a little practice, then go for the safe products such as powder, blush, a little mascara and lipgloss. Even a little goes a long way.

4. Dress To Flatter Your Figure

Like I said, you don’t have to be stick thin to look good. Men like women who look good and confident, and the easiest way to do that is to dress in something that flatters your figure and you are comfortable with. You don’t need to follow the latest fashion fads to be considered stylish. Go for clothes that enhance your best features and what you are comfortable with, and you’ll automatically feel confident about yourself. Remember, men will notice if you squeeze yourself into clothes two sizes two small and that won’t look attractive at all.

So these are your basic rules that just about every girl can follow. Simple, easy steps that will guarantee your guy takes notice of you the next time you go out.
