Are you one of those who religiously follow fashion trends? Then, it’s time to update your wardrobe and get all super-fashionable for spring. With a whole variety of fabulous styles, take your fave pick and make sure you work it, girl!

Flower Power

Flowers are in full bloom- not only on trees but on runways, celebrities and definitely on you too. Now here’s your best excuse to get feminine and beautiful all the way. Choose from tiny florals to bold prints and oh, flowy fabrics are also great for “I feel fat” days! On the runway, Erdem did pretty floral on structured pieces while Dolce & Gabbana wnt for vintage blooms.

Emma Bunton cleverly rocks two trends in one look with her abstract print dress from Liquorish. Note the sculpted shoulder details! Don’t overcomplicate your look and do stick to simple black accessories.

Metallic Sheen

I never thought metallics would make a comeback! I love this trend- all shiny and sparkly. These make the perfect partywear- shimmering silver, gold and bronze with bits of sequins and dazzling embellishments. Philip Lim went all out with an oversized sequin blazer while Balmain goes for glammed up mini dresses.

Jennifer Aniston pairs up her metallic Valentino Couture mini dress with a sharp tailored black blazer. Nothing about her look spells trashy simply because she surely knows how to mix and match her stunning pieces. For daytime, do remember that it’s best to stick to metallic accessories!

Denim Lovin’

It’s no surprise that denim ruled the recent runways. I mean c’mon who doesn’t love denim? The best part is that this trend never actually goes out of fashion. Light to medium-hued denim strolled down the runways with lots of old-school, patch-work and acid was pieces. Dolce & Gabbana paired up their denims with lots of lace and fishnets too!

Rihanna rocked a studded denim jacket- truly fierce fashion at its best. If you are going for a stand out piece, do match it with something simple- like how Ri Ri pairs her jacket up with an a basic back mini dress.

Innerwear as Outerwear

Dare to bare? If you love to flaunt what you’ve got that I’m sure you’ll be embracing this style with open arms. I bet you have heard- you can now bring out your lingerie pieces out to play; uh-huh, no longer just reserved for the bedroom. Models donned corsets, slips and bras in lovely lace, silks and satin.

Jean Paul Gaultier Spring/Summer 2010

Even Kelly Osbourne is parading her lingerie; she opted for a sexy white corset paired up with a cropped military jacket and matching white gloves. Her black and white ensemble certainly screams out “Look at me”! The easiest way to wear this trend is to wear a lacy camisole under a jacket (boyfriend jackets work too) or blazer.
