Go Nude!
By: aphrodite
Many beautiful celebrities have recently jumped on the nude bandwagon. Have you noticed? No, I’m certainly not talking about revealing it all- these ladies have opted for a more subtle colour palette in muted and natural shades! Nude clothing (and accessories too!) are just about everywhere- catwalks, red carpets and even on the streets too. In wonderful shades of tan, caramel, biscuit, ecru, eggshell and much more; gone are the days of the little black dress or black essentials- it’s now all about nude-toned must-haves.

Here’s a clever way to include a dash of nude into your look- Kylie Minogue teams up her silky nude blouse with a tweed coat and high-waisted leather skirt.

Prints are a great way to make a statement- Paris Hilton wears a wild print zip-front mini dress paired up beautifully with nude accessories.

Hayden Panettiere keeps her outfit simple by going for an all black ensemble matched with nude peep-toe heels and a gold clutch.

Nude gowns are a fave on red carpets. Olivia Wilde dazzles in this flowy RM by Roland Mouret nude dress. She goes for a classic chic look by adding a slick of red on her lips with a match clutch in her hand.

Oh, the gorgeous Hervé Léger bandage dress never goes out of style! Cheryl Cole goes for a sequin striped number accessorised with a dinky clutch and striking gold heels.

Here’s yet another fan of sequins and nude-mini’s. Supermodel Heidi Klum shined like a star in this sparkly sequinned mini dress with matching strappy high-heels and a statement ring too.

Coleen Rooney exudes ladylike sophistication in her draped silk dress. Take note of her gorgeous satin peep-toe pumps and gold dangling earrings!

Scarlett Johansson looks as chic as ever in this Prada number. Simple yet stylish all the way, the cinched details on the dress displayed her figure to stunning effect and As always, Scarlett added a touch of red to her lips.
How to wear flesh tones:
Do remember to pick a colour that will complement your skin tone. It’s awfully true that some shades will make you look washed out. If you have a fair complexion, go for pastels like pale pinks and browns. Olive tones look great in beiges and khakis while deeper skin tones should opt for muted gold- especially with a little bit of shimmer in it.
Too many nude tones in an ensemble is a big no-no! Stick to just one shade instead. Not sure if you can pull this colour off? Don’t fret! Simply pair up a flesh toned top with your safest best- a black bottom; you’ll never go wrong.
Want to look taller? You should invest in a pair of nude coloured heels. These babies will lengthen your legs- I kid you not.
