Simplicity and versatility is something that American brands and designers have been well-known for. The authentic all-American design aesthetics influenced by sports like football and polo as well as the culture and lifestyle have been marking the American territory in the fashion world. One of many American labels that after all these years managed to stay true to its American root is Ralph Lauren. Well known for their association with sports and country life and not to mention the polo shirts and fragrances, Ralph Lauren has been involved in so many projects to further cement their status in the industry.

The latest one is “Passport to the World of Polo”. The world-class professional polo champion Ignacio “Nacho” Figueras has been chosen as the new face of The World of Polo a new advertising campaign for the trilogy of men’s fragrances that includes Polo Modern Reserve, Polo Blue and Polo Black.

Already the face of Polo Black, Nacho was hand-picked for the job for his ability to embody all of the lifestyle elements that Ralph Lauren was targeting for. Not only he is currently playing for Neil Hirsch’s Blackwatch Polo team Nacho is also married to Delfina Blaquier and a father to their 9-year-old son Hilario and 4-year-old daughter Aurora. In one interview Nacho was quoted as saying “I am grateful for the opportunity to pursue my life’s passion, which is playing and advancing the game of polo, and I am truly honored to be the new face of the World of Polo. My relationship with the Ralph Lauren brand is precious to me and to have been given this new opportunity to partner with Ralph Lauren Fragrances is a dream come true”.

The Polo Black guy is sexy, sophisticated, confident and modern. His home is a city loft. His escape is a fast car. (Think Patrick Dempsey)

POLO BLUE (RM185/75ml)

The Polo Blue guy is free-spirited, energetic and young. Sailing in the vast ocean and savoring the cool breeze is his ideal getaway. (The perfect Polo Blue guy has to be Orlando Bloom.)

POLO (RM175/50ml)

The Polo guy is classic and appreciates the true essence of Polo heritage. He is authentic and enjoys the country living. (Tom Cruise perhaps?)

POLO EXPLORER (RM185/75ml)

The Polo Explorer guy is the one who loves the outback and has a thirst for adventure, sometimes extreme. He is fun, open and laid-back, yet always ready for the next adventure. (The only guy that fits the description is Hugh Jackman.)

Nacho Figueras is befitted for the roles of Ralph Lauren man for his sophistication, energy, authenticity and extreme nature. Looks like Nacho has a little bit of Dempsey, Bloom, Cruise and Jackman in him. So what about you guys?
