Colour by the seashore

We’re all familiar with Ipanema and former Victoria’s Secret model Gisele Bundchen’s collaboration. This year being the 4th installment of Gisele Bundchen”s social-environmental projects, Ipanema’s new Colorful Sea collection focuses on the waters of the sea.
Seawater desalinates in the atmosphere and falls in the form of rain, seeps into the ground making streams and springs that later on turn into rivers that flow back into the ocean, completing a perfect cycle of life. It also is vital in the regulating of the planet’s temperature and plays a part in preserving marine life and the ecosystems of the ocean.
For all those reasons, the new Ipanema Gisele Bündchen collection draws inspiration from the colors and shapes of the bottom of the sea. The colours and shapes of the sandals are inspired by gentle ocean waves and colorful marine life that make the ocean their habitat. As a result, there are rainbow shades of purple and pink with some designs having a starfish emblem.
Ipanema Gisele Bündchen Colorful Sea collection’s idea of bringing fashion and sea conservation together will help Reef Check Malaysia in creating awareness of the plight of deteriorating coral reefs in society. The collection lends a hand by contributing to the conservation of coral reefs, sea beds and beaches by encouraging recycling and reducing waste. To further reinforce reducing and recycling waste, RSH (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is giving away a reusable Ipanema Gisele Bündchen Colorful Sea canvas bag* for every purchase of footwear in this collection. This is in hope that customers will reuse the durable and eco-friendly bag for their future shopping trips instead of resorting to plastic bags, thus reducing waste.
The Ipanema Gisele Bündchen Colorful Sea sandals cater for women, young girls and toddlers and are priced from RM69.90 to RM74.90. Find them at Stadium, Studio R and Royal Sporting House outlets nationwide.
