Calling all bag ladies! Are you one of those completely obsessed with designer handbags? There are those who can just go out there and purchase LV’s and Gucci’s without even thinking twice. Then, there are those who can’t afford designer adornments but constantly fantasize about them; waiting for the day they can finally get their hands on one. My friends, this time around, you can forget about Louis Vuitton’s usual luxury leather; the Raindrop Besace is made from raincoat material (also known as coated canvas) and yes, therefore it IS waterproof and it does look like a TRASH BAG. If you really want to look on the bright side, when it rains, you can still keep yourself dry! This draw-string carry-all has a touch of goldtone hardware and detachable leather shoulder strap. Available in two different tones – Emerald and Moca and it will cost you…$1,960.  

You know the homeless, shabby-chic look that is supposed to be hot right now? Well, if you are a fashionista at heart and love to follow trends, then this is one bag that you must get! Since Marc Jacobs was recently quoted saying, “There’s this huge cult following of almost crazy people at Vuitton who just want whatever they buy to be exclusive”, I certainly can’t wait to see who will be one of the first to purchase the Louis Vuitton Raindrop Besace!

    it’s not made from raincoat material canvas, it’s patent lambskin. do your research first!!

    Hi there,

    The PR person from Louis Vuitton (M) Sdn Bhd has confirmed that the Raindrop Besace is actually made from patent calf leather. When the bag first made its debut, many detractors described it as a cheap-looking plastic bag, made from raincoat material. Try googling what the Raindrop Besace is made from and you’d get a mixture of answers between raincoat material and patent lambskin. I guess it doesn’t come as a surprise that some info on the internet can in fact be misleading at times. Thanks for your feedback!
