The fringe hairstyle is the must-have hair trend this year! Whether you like to have your bangs bold, blunt or sideswept, do bear in mind that this hairstyle will not suit every face shape; so be wary if you are considering to chop off your fringe!
Fabulous bangs will help to frame your face perfectly and will let you make a stylish statement without even saying a word. If you happen to have a round face or curly hair, it’s best to stay away from this trend. Bangs do look great on ladies with oval shaped faces or even those with high foreheads (they are a great cover-up).

How-to cut your own fringe:
As with any professional stylist, make sure you are equipped with the right tools. Get yourself a sharp pair of professional scissors and a styling comb.
It’s best to chop your bangs once you have shampooed and naturally dried your hair. Gather your front bangs (make sure they are well separated from the rest of your hair) and point the tips down, toward your nose.
Start off with small sections and cut vertically (press it between your index finger and middle finger, shaped like scissors). Remember to pull your hair straight down and keep cutting until your whole fringe is neatly trimmed.
Tip: Don’t try to snip your bangs when they are still wet! Once dried, it might turn out shorter than you expected (as they will tend to shrink upward).

Sooo rite… I recently acquired bangs and I am liking it…although I had some inital resistance everytime I looked at the mirror… I also decided unbeknownst to my hairdresser to do did a little DIY to it, I cut it just a little unevenly. I always remember model Helena Christiansen, once said that she will DIY her bangs a little unevenly just to give some character…so there..:-)
