StyleSpot: Ivanka Trump to Design Shoes

Ever wondered what it would be like to walk in an heiress shoes? Very soon, you will be able to do just that! Style icon and enterprising entrepreneur Ivanka Trump has recently signed on a deal with Marc Fisher Footwear to create a new contemporary footwear line. The newlywed bride (she married New York Observer owner Jared Kushner in October 2009) has not only created a name for herself as a VP of her father’s real estate corporation, she even has her own jewelry line with a flagship store on Madison Avenue in New York. It is also rumoured that Ivanka is exploring other licensing opportunities for accessories and clothing. Wow! That’s quite a lot to have under her belt, don’t you think?
“Ivanka had been thinking about a footwear line and someone recommended Marc Fisher to her. Simultaneously, we saw Ivanka’s iconic style as an opportunity to fill a niche in the footwear business,” said Marc Fisher President Susan Itzkowitz. “When we met, we realized our visions were one and the same and the partnership was formed.”
“We believe Ivanka has something fresh and distinctive to offer in what is otherwise a celebrity-saturated market,” Marc Fisher, CEO of his eponymous firm, said in a statement.
“She has substance, a successful career and fashionable life that is appealing to all women.”
“Our deal was finalized within two weeks of meeting Marc Fisher. I knew immediately that we would be able to successfully collaborate together and that he could execute our vision in accordance with my design aesthetic,” said Trump. “I am confident that our partnership will produce the type of quality and high style product that will appeal to many.”
Yes, it’s true! In the past, Trump has cited Christian Louboutin as her favourite shoe designer. I am certain that the stylista’s designs will be just as stunning and wearable! Ivanka Trump’s shoes are definitely going to add some pep in your step and you can be sure to step out in style!
