It seems the Eighties will be back in  a big, big way if Sex and The City Sequel and Raymond Chow is  anything to go by… So how is this trend going to look in 2010, hopefully updated, for those of us reliving this momentous decade, which we have already started to see in terms of oversized shoulder pads and low crotch pants last year where fashion is concerned.

So what does Raymond say about hair trends? Read on..

“We will be seeing a lot of retro hairstyles of the 80′s being introduce with some new and modern twist to it.

VERY CURLY locks will be back as Volume will be the “in thing” with this look. As the 80′s have many different kind of curls, 2010 will see curls are more controlled and also softer …” according to Raymond.

“The ‘HALO’ is back again but with a softer line unlike the 80′s where the line is harder.  This hairstyle is so easy to maintain at home but it is the most difficult hair cut to do. The BOB will still be in fashion but with a straighter line and slightly longer.”

“There will be a lot of REDs in 2010, Deep Red, Shocking Chilli Red, Copper, Orange just any kind of Reds will be the colour to go for. Try various types of colour techniques to enhance your hair cut and also your skin tone be it whole hair or just plain highlights. For those who prefer darker tones, VIOLET is the to go as the big brands in Europe and US are using this colour in their clothing lines and accessories.”

“For the men, hairstyles will be well groomed and short. More natural shades like Ash, Browns and Matt will be what the guys should go for. The ‘Zac Efron’ look will still be in for the younger males with hair longer and also ruffled.”
