Body Fashion Malaysia has certainly triumphed again with its biggest show this year with the Valisere En Vogue Winter 2009 Spring 2010 show the other night. It has the right amount of ooh laa laa and seductiveness whilst retaining a certain elegance and tastefulness. It  vampy without being campy.

This fashion show is  to launch Valisere’s  Winter 2009 and Spring 2010 collections. The collections show’s  Parisian romance at its best, can you tell I am fan already… Valisere has always prided itself as undergarment good enough to be worn on the outside as demonstrated by Elaine Daly in a gorgeous purple corset paired with a black pencil slim skirt.

The Winter 2009 collection tells the story of -Glamour , Chic, Luxe , Perle Noir, Avant Garde , Eclat , Dame, Vancances , Fete and extravagance… ignites one’s imagination of the French Riviera. The Spring 2010 is lal about escapism in French train travels themed The Train Odyssey. The Sejour series   provides great support under tight clothing with the Deep V and Deep V Cut brassiere.Le Train Bleu inspired by blue sleeping carriages for the rich and  famous ,travelling between Calais and the French Riviera  is all about embroidered lace  in three quarter cup and half cup brassieres with matching g-string, mini and hipster designs.

Doux has a more connoisseur approach to lingerie with Lycra yarn and black jacquard hem fabric. It is all about technology, ergonomic designs and engineering edge making inner wear enhancing the figure while disappearing under the clothes.

It was daring and forward for  a Malaysian undergarment company. The show was kept to a good pace with the selections with most guests totally riveted to the sight of the undergarments; some already picking out pieces in their heads whilst others look wistfully at the pieces wondering like I did, how will I look in some of those pieces. I especially love the high cut French knicker girdle  panties in stripes, one word, sexy…

Great selection of models , yes, some of them have cellulites too (they are only human after all)  but most of them have really beautiful buffed skin. I always believe just like Victoria’s Secret’s models , the sweet looking ones always make the undergarments look sexier as  opposed to a  full vavavoom Dita von Teese effect. The show was heart stopping and yet got most adrenaline pumping, girls and guys notwitstanding, upbeat and on tempo, it was precise in sending the messages without being draggy and sending out 20 models  (with Amber Chia leading the pack) for at least 30 outfits certainly up the ante where fashion shows are concerned.

Special mention must be made on the stage lightings and effects to create the  French Maison , home of Valisere, right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
