It’s great to keep up and be in the know of the latest beauty craze! Despite the fact that many beauty styles on the latest season’s catwalks do come across as totally out-of-this world, you CAN translate these looks into your very own. Don’t go overboard and pile up an assortment of makeup to your face! DO it in small doses and working with a light hand is the best way to go. Here are the latest, hottest and most daring beauty trends straight from the runway.

Goddess of Glam Grunge

You’ll definitely get to embrace your inner glamour and your grunge will truly shine with this look! There’s a hint of pretty, with a touch of little rock ‘n’ roll and a whole lot of attitude! For the tough-chic, cool appearance load up on black liner or eye shadow and smudge it up. It’s best to keep your lip and cheek colour toned down. However, if you are going for a bold lip colour like a classic red shade and a deep, dark plum tone, skip the heavy eyeliner. Totally sexy and smoldering!

Anna Sui

Dolce & Gabbana

Karl Lagerfeld

Matthew Williamson

Giorgio Armani

DSquared²

Like A Doll

Think Barbie but in a more subtle, subdued and pretty kind of way. This trend will give you a pop of adolescent freshness and natural beauty. To create this super-feminine and cute appearance, use light, warm, bright colors that are either shimmery or matte. The most common colours that are used are pinks, raspberry, taupes and blues. For waxy, doll like skin, blend in a drop of liquid highlighter cream when applying your makeup base. Step out looking stunningly sweet all over!

Chanel

Carolina Herrera

Missoni

Vampire Obsession

Has Elvira from Adams Family appeared in your mind yet? This darkly romantic creature of the night tends to lure people with their sexy, sleek and sophisticated vibe. Do skip the overpowering blush and bronzer because for this trend, the fairer the skin, the better it is! Most importantly, ensure that you have a super-smooth base for a statue-style finish. Apply foundation preferably in a lighter shade than your natural complexion and blend it all the way to your neck and chest. Don’t forget to add berry bitten pouts by using dark lippie’s or even lip stains work great. Try it out; this look is not only for Halloween! However, since the festival is just around the corner, you can also go for this look. Just go much fairer then you are (almost white-out), keep your lips red or bold coloured and don’t forget the slinky black outfit!

Rodarte

Zac Posen

Emilio Pucci

Bottega Venetta

Diane Von Furstenberg

Artistic Geisha Graphics

As always, the most striking feature of a Geisha is her makeup. No, this is not the traditional geisha-inspired makeup of super-sculpted lips with eyes and brows seeping in chili red shades. East meets West in this trend and is given a totally modern, up-to-date twist. As with the vamp look, do go for a foundation that is lighter than your actual skin tone. After that, it’s all fun, fun fun with splashes of bright, loud colours such as hot pink, orange, and baby blue on eyes, lips and cheeks! Oh, don’t forget the asian halter dress in kimono-like material and your shimmering fan of course!

John Galliano

Ashish

Christian Dior

80’s Fun

Yup, the 80’s inspired makeup still dominates the runways and it looks like it probably will for a long time! Gorgeous Matte red lips are huge. Makeup artist Tom Pecheux at Isaac Mizrahi even said “It’s true that women wear red lipstick during recessions,” he said. “When you don’t have enough money for a new outfit, handbag or shoes, you can still buy a new lipstick. But when you do spend the money, you want it to be impactful, and red lips change everything!” And yes, even red eye shadow was spotted on the models! If you want to play up your eyes, use two bright colors side by side. Keep you hair either sleek with waves, back in a bun or go crazy, big, pouffy ! You can easily go OTT with this trend. Watch that you don’t over-colour your face.
