T he one thing one must know about the Bobbi Brown Fall/Holiday collection is, it is NOT for the faint hearted. And especially one who does not like to use eye make up remover.
The whole collection’s packaging is striking. From the metallic casing for the Shimmer Brick Range and the holiday collection right down to the frosted plastic cubes for the metallic long wearing Cream Eye shadow. The casings are as much a delight to behold as to apply on the eye. I would buy them just for the casings. And if anyway I sound confused and bug eyed, I was and still am. I am in awe with all the ranges and colours. But I will endeavour to give you the gist of it. What Bobbi Brown will be doing is over the next couple of months starting from September is launching the full limited edition Fall /Holiday 2009 collection. But packaging aside, what is this collection like? I find the colours practical even as they dare me to venture into the dark side of smoky smouldering looks. Smouldering has taken on new dimensions with the new palettes. Colours are richer, even as they take on the dark tones of winter.
The first launch will be the Rich Color Gloss for Fall 2009 starting in September 2009.

Yes, they mean it, the gloss have more richer hues like deep red or brown hues with names like merlot, ruby red, pink raspberry, dusty rose, melon, tutu, pink buff and nude of course. This new range, also nourishes and moisturises lip with the newly incorporated technology.
The colours richer and warmer but with chrome finishing will be started off with the Metallic Long Wear Cream Shadow. It is sheer lightweight and just glides on. The finish feel is velvety soft as proclaimed. The colours are chrome patina, brown metal , starry night, black pearl, starry purple, antique gold, goldstone and mercury. But don’t miss the Lip Gloss Trio which is hand picked by Bobbi Brown herself to suit all skin complexions with names like marina pink, pink blossom and cocoa sugar and I am thinking Sayuri…in many disguises if you happen to prefer quicky methods.
Next, their Tube Tint Trio which is meant as a handy but thoughful gift for someone, full size lip tint with SPF 15 again in shades for every skin tone…twilight summer, blossom tint and cherry tint. But what is brilliant, despite everything , it is supposed to remove easily with soap and water ( but needs to be tested this part).

To add on to the chrome look , Chrome Palette, a fold out which has ten eye colors and 4 lip colors and individual mini lip and mini eye brush. It is something to tuck into your purse so that you look like the life of the party in easy travel size. And for those of you who just prefers a quick lip touch up with a lipstick, Chrome Lips are your answers. Choose any shade of port , chrome or pearl metallic for that look. I am imagining myself toying with all shades and gliding a Chrome lips over to have a different effect with my old lipsticks.
