I was really honored to be asked to be one of the panel speakers on behalf of www.emmagem.com on the topic, Marketing Through Social Web Media and it’s effectiveness in business. I was in esteemed company that day as my fellow speakers were Chris Tan and social media networker, Kid Chan (celebrity photographer) and Timothy Tiah, co founder of Nuffnang and Eliza Noordin from Teak Capital as our mediator.
It was a lively crowd with participants comprising mostly of women were participative and asking smart questions not the reticent participants Malaysians usually associated with. This is a good sign as it goes to show that the new age of women entrepreneurs are an engaged lot. There were a lot of discussions on various types of funding available by experts liek venture capiltalist and recipient of funds, types of payment method as well as what is like to be an Ebay power seller and also how to apply blue ocean strategy into your business.
Jun from www.pinkbox.biz and Iris (from Maclean)
I think everyone tool something back from that discussion that day…participants know more about emmaegm.com , shopping online on mofsd and also how to promote using social media and I certainly came away in awe of the fact that Malaysian women entrepreneurs will be a force to be reckoned with in the twenty first century …
