Calling all fans of The History Channel! AETN All Asia Networks (AAA Networks) is looking for a host for a 4 x 1 hour programme, to be aired on History. The successful host will host at least four episodes of the brand new series which will uncover some of the secrets and fascinating stories from the lesser-known parts of Asia.

If you a great storyteller, great with people, and think you would be great on camera, then you could Make It On HISTORY and win a whopping US$10,000. Interested candidates are invited to submit applications via www.historyasia.com by 15 September 2009.

What is more relevant than getting an Asian face to introduce about Asian heritage? Please refer below for the criterion on the application.

Applicant should be:

• At least 25 yrs or older, and of Asian heritage
• Able to speak English clearly as a first language
• Be comfortable on camera, approachable and have a knack for interacting with new people
• Intelligent, curious, investigative, spontaneous, a sense of adventure that is balanced with an authority to inform
• Possibly having past work or life experience which ‘qualifies’ them to present fascinating stories of Asian history
• Must be available for shooting in four locations within Asia from November 2009 to January 2010 for approximately eight weeks. All expenses will be covered during shooting, including travel.
• Finalists may be required to attend an audition in a major Southeast Asia city at their own expense if auditions are not held within their city of residence. Audition locations will be determined by locale of finalists.

The Successful Host will:

• Win US$10,000 prize money
• Host at least four episodes of an original production for HISTORY Asia
• Travel to different parts of Asia to share hidden stories of Asia’s unique history
