Lux is in search for a Masquerade Princess

There’s something mysterious about being behind a mask. A masquerade party is avant garde, totally over the top and elaborate. We wear awesome dresses, big puffy skirts, with make up which accentuate the eye because that’s the focus behind the mask. What else is important is the skin. Behind a mask, you hardly see any features, but, the skin is pretty visible, not forgetting the lips!

A girl behind the mask is mysterious and very appealing towards the other sex. Its like, you get to see who’s behind that mask, but you don’t see the whole face. So you’d have to guess how the person looks like, or who’s behind the mask. It is just sexy lah, don’t you think?

I remember seeing this advertisement in the cinema before a movie. The girl in the advertisement, Priyanka Chopra (who happens to be Miss World), was seen walking around the masquerade party. The setting was this romantic olden days ballroom. Her skin was so smooth that her dress keeps on slipping off her shoulder as she sashayed through the crowd. Then, like a true fairy tale, a prince was there. She caught his attention and he wanted to know who was it. He searched high and low for her, andhe had a brief moment of dance with her. They danced. Then, like Cinderella, she ran away to take a shower. In the end, she came down for the big reveal…There she was, that gorgeous Priyanka Chopra in her green flowy dress and soft, supple, smooth skin.

Like a fairytale, right? I also want my own fairy tale. I want to be a princess. With a hunky prince waiting to dance with me and sweep me off my feet.

Doesn’t every girl?

Of course, the part of the perks of being a princess, you get people to do things for you, like hair and make up. I love being pampered every once in a while. Just the other day, I got my very own fairy tale story.

Well, the second part of it…(sadly). No prince sweeping me off my feet, but I did get a makeover. I was treated like a princess at the Lux Roadshow at 1 Utama last week. They were in search for the Lux Masquerade Princess. I was intrigue by the title, and signed myself up for the royal treatment by Lux.

Lux Roadshow at 1 Utama

The place was set up in a very Emmagem.com colour, pink and purple. See how their products are in Emmagem.com colours?(Well Maybe just the Magic Spell shower gel! Which by the way, smells awesome in the shower!). The place was also decorated with really great lighting and decorations. Tons of makeover stations around with great people behind the counter all ready to give you a makeover!

All I needed to do is buy RM30 worth of Lux products and wa-la, the helping make up and hair artists come running to you to make you look and feel like a princess. Well at least that was how I was treated.

Someone will be doing your make up and the other will be doing your hair. Now how’s that for pampering? After the makeover, I was ushered to the photo booth where a cameraman was ready to snap away. He made me hold a mask for the photoshoot.

I tried my best. Channeling all my ANTM.

I sure hoped he had a good shot.

The photoshoot was quick and I was given the chance to choose which potrait I wanted to keep. The person at the computer will give you a few choices and I ended up with this shot:

This shot of mine will be submitted as an entry for the Masquerade Princess Search.

Wish me luck!

If I am awesome enough, I will be selected as the top 6 finalist who will be be competing in the glamorous Masquerade Party in November and stand a chance to win RM40,000 worth of Unilever Products!

Ok, everyone, please pray for me to win! While I was there, I saw a few of my competitors (who are beautiful women too, I might add)…

Go for the roadshow for a makeover. Just buy RM30 worth of Lux products, you get a makeover, photoshoot and stand a chance to be in the running to be the Lux Masquerade Princess.
