Tie Dye high
By: Cherrypop
If most of you haven’t noticed, tie dyed jeans (and ripped ones, which are a whole different story which we noticed a couple of months back), are the hottest trend that the hippest celebrities adore, and something we are seeing on the racks in retail shops like Forever21, Topshop and MNG.
If you can’t bring yourself to buy a pair of jeans or a jeans skirt that has been destroyed, you can bring life into your skinny jeans by bleaching and/or shredding them yourself. Just arm yourself with bleach, a tub of water and dip your chosen pair into the tub (which contains bleach). Just be sure to check the instructions so you know how much bleach to put in to every part of water. Leave it in until the desired colour is achieved.
This look, pioneered by Balmain, is another version of the distressed look and it is key to looking don’t-carish and disheveled. After all, what is fashion when you have to try so hard?

The iconic look everyone recognises: the jeans, band jacket and studded heels are just so right because of the proportions.

Here’s how to put rips into the knees of your jeans as demonstrated by Balmain. Paired with a leather jacket and it is totally biker chic.
Celebrities who have embraced this look show us how to do it:

Fergie makes hers more pulled together with a white shirt, bright orange belt and tan shoes and a bag.

Here, with the same pair, she goes all black and lets the silver detail of her top peek out from underneath a jacket.

Trying a grey, cropped version with darker locks, Fergie opts for booties, a scarf and a tough-looking jacket at the airport.

These paint-splattered jeans look DIY and is easily achievable with a little bleach. Nicole Richie keeps the rest of her outfit simple and lets her denim stand out.

Your best bet is to stick to neutral pieces like Rihanna here has. That way, colour doesn’t overwhelm the daring denim.

Gwen Stefani rocks it with a polo tee and lace up boots.

Posh’s light grey version is skintight and sexy, and is made more formal with a black Birkin, a leathery blazer and pumps.
