Gone are the days when only men wear the pants! Whether you are an ambitious career woman or a busy stay-at-home mum, you will definitely need a pair of well fitted pants. Infact, great pair of dress pants happens to be a must-have in every woman’s wardrobe. Pants are not only comfortable, but you also get to move around with ease. To find the perfect pants, as always, you will need to first determine you body shape. Check out the guide here.

Top Heavy

Look for:

A full-cut leg gives the illusion of balance to your figure. Therefore, boot-cut styles will suit you best. If you have a flat butt, it would be great to find a pair of pants with back pockets so that your rear will not look flat and shapeless.

Avoid:

Don’t go for a clingy slender leg, which will just emphasize the upper part of your body.

Full Hips

Look for:

Don’t go worrying about your big thighs. Flared bottoms, boot-cut styles and skinnies will make your hips and thighs slimmer and thinner in an instant. Go for simple lines and you can also try out a pair of skinny pants with side zips.

Avoid:

Stay away from cropped styled pants which will create a boxy look. Also try not to wear pants with a lot of pockets on the side or any design that will just make your hips look wider.

Boyish Figure

Look for:

Go for fluid fabrics that are slim through the thigh, a crease will add more shape. You can also try styles with fitted waists. The best way to add curves to your silhouette is to wear back pockets with flaps, it will make your butt appear perkier. If you have short legs, higher waist slacks visually elongate and slim you down.

Avoid:

Stay away from wide or baggy pants. They tend to make you look shorter. Also, a full cut leg doesn’t provide any contour.

Mix and match you pants for work or play. A figure-flattering pair of pants works well with almost anything from button down shirts to a sexy, glammed up blouse.  Get to look classy, feminine or simply casual with the right pair of pants.
