Emma Watson grows up in Burberry
By: Cherrypop
It only seems natural that the next contender in line for Burberry’s ad campaigns is none other than Harry Potter star Emma Watson, who has been blowing us away with stylish red carpet outfit choices. The 19-year-old has been chosen to represent the British label, famous for its plaid motifs, for their latest fall campaign.
Creative director Christopher Bailey said about the collaboration: “Having known and admired the lovely Emma Watson for quite some time, she was the obvious choice for this campaign who like the images she fronts, has a classic beauty a great character and a modern edge.”
Having someone so young and fresh to front the brand also brings a dash of fun and youth to the label. The images are shot by famed photographer Mario Testino himself.
Christopher further reveals, “Emma’s charm, intellect and brilliant sense of fun made the whole shoot feel like a picnic on the Thames.” But even with her youth and fame, the campaign is meant to reflect the classic side of Burberry and its long history. “I wanted the images to represent both the rich history and the modernity of the Burberry brand whilst at the same time reflecting a quiet beauty, timelessness and strength that is particularly significant today,” he explains.
Below are some of the images one can expect to see in magazines soon:

Emma models the ever-so-famous trench coat, made modern by Burberry, and wears it with a textured chocolate tote.

The Burberry plaid emerges in black and white. Don’t you think the male model next to her looks like Robert Pattinson?

We reckon Emma looks a little like Mischa Barton here.

What do you think about Emma Watson fronting the Burberry campaign?
