I’ve never really seen window fashion as fashion, fashion.I mean, the only time I ever saw any pretty windows in in a handful of aunties’ homes where they take decorating their homes seriously. As for most people, they just buy what’s available once when they first buy their homes and use that same old curtains for zonk years until its worn out.

Not many actually decorate their homes in matching patterns and colours with the chairs, table runners, curtains and other things. I’ve had the privilege to visit Elyza’s Collection new Spring Summer 2009 preview of window dressing.I was at awe at how pretty windows can be when decorated nicely.

Elyza’s collection was founded by Elyza Yong in 1994. She has a reputation of building a country look with a modern take to each design. She mixes and matches each design to complement the surroundings and makes each house look tastefully decorated. Elyza also supplies fabrics since she started.

Today, we’ll take a look at Elyza’s collection of window dressing which really makes a house a home. ELYZA’S Home launched 10 new collections and 9 window dressing styles last month. She took us on a tour and explained how each fabric is specially chosen to give the right look and feel to the window.

She also mentions that what is most important when it comes to choosing a style for your window is your preference. She emphasized that when decorating, don’t choose what colour’s in trend now, but rather, what you’d like your house to look like. During the launch, she also launched a new software to help with the home decorating called Eassy-Décor Software. This software will greatly assist consumers in choosing the right fabrics and window dressing styles that fit perfectly into the design concept of their home.

“The software allows the user to create 3D room setting so that the customer can preview the makeover results even before ordering” said Elyza.

Now, on to the newest collection from Elyza’s.

Ritz

A modern textured plain collection with an eclectic colour palette, Ritz gives a seductive, contemporary touch to contemporary interiors. (Ritz is available in both 3-pass blackout coated and uncoated versions)

Pastel

A collection of two-tone textured plains, with an extensive range of soft muted shades and a selection of lively colours, PASTEL combines practical simplicity and timeless elegance for drapes, blinds and cushions.

The Summer House collection creates a perfect balance between woven checks, stripes, plains and prints; inspires romance, relaxation and excitement for the long summer living.

 

Fiji

A naturalistic collection featuring the reversible hand carabted woven cotton fabrics; fiji is beautiful for draperies and practical for upholsteries. The earth-tone colour selections, inspired from the natural beauty of Fiji islands, accentuate a relaxing mood and calm interior.

Westbury

Comprising three botanical motifs, a mini geometric diamond pattern and a complementary stripe sheer organza, the Westbury collection epitomizes refreshing nature and modern elegance. The palette encompasses black, natural, duck egg, chocolate and olive green.

 

Contemporary Sheer

A distinctive collection of wide width net stripes, fancy lose strings organza and two-tone effect net sheers in a stylish, sophisticated colour palette, filter light with modern chic.

 

 

Lattina

A combination of two fabrics, a translucent organza sheer embroidered with metallic yarns and coordinating textured plains - - Ritz in fabulous shades, LATTINA poised to create stunning effect for modern interiors. (Ritz also available with 3-pass blackout coating)
