Buying from America!

By: yetmee

A lazy Monday afternoon in the office, time is just slowly ticking away nanosecond by nanosecond, somehow I still feel  hung over from the fabulous weekend  and yet deadlines are looming ; one on Tuesday- that one is easy , just needs an hour to finish up. The other one is on Thursday, have started some info gathering already , just waiting for  a couple of replies…. yeah, I can still take it a bit easy, in fact might be a good idea to do so now, the lull before the storm so to speak. So my best way  to de-stress  future stress is  to go shopping… but from my cushy office chair.

Quick peek at the boss… yes he is nose deep in documents or is it something else…emmm. Anyways no matter, I can do some quick browsing, nothing new from Shopaholics Unite and nope nothing caught my eye from NACD this time. Well, still got a bit of time, can spend it “overseas” .  Scrolling, scrolling, I wonder what  Oprah.com has to say to cheer me up. Let’s drop in. Wait a minute, that looks like  an interesting  corset she is talking about with Heidi Klum, really sucks it all in …Well, I  sure like the looks of the models with corsets on … Hey, USD 144, that is an alright price -about RM250 for a corset; the one at Marks and Spencer already costs more. It looks so smooth and seamless  compared to my current one that makes me look like the corseted Michelin baby. Okay, let’s go to  “add to cart”, but wait , quick check, do they ship internationally? Please oh  please,  (I say a silent plea), but nope, only to North American cities only. Aaaargh , bummer!

Now, that just totally spoils it for this Monday...

Yep, we’ve all been there girlfriends… But guess  what, emmagem have finally discovered a solution for all you fashionistas who been wanting, nay, dying to shop from some awesome online shops from United States but sadly   have to be disappointed time and again  because they just don’t ship outside of USA.  Think Gap, think Neiman Marcus, think Yummie Tummie, think Victoria Secret… the list goes on. Yes, NOW, there is a site that helps consolidate all your shipments from around America and  help you ship it back to Malaysia!

Shops that ship to Malaysia but with VSHub, you can get a lower price, with everything handled by the company, including customs. (CLICK TO SHOP)

Shops that does not ship to this part of the world (CLICK TO SHOP)

vsHub (www.vshub.com), provides you a one of a kind service that is efficient, caters for what other courier company cannot do that as it enables you to purchase with a USA shipping address. They help you to consolidate all shipments so that it is more cost effective. That means that you can now take advantage of all the sales and offers that any US online shops may have which  is on top of the fact that the normal prices of things are already at a discount there compared to here. We are certainly talking huge savings here. Taxes will need to be paid only if applicable and will be handled by www.vshub.com. So how complicated is this service going to be for such  big savings? Well, just….

3 Easy Steps:

Step 1: You sign up with www.vshub.com, you will receive a confirmation with your name and a US shipping address for you to do all your purchases.

Step 2: When you purchase from any merchant, put the US shipping address as the shipment address and you just have to email them the merchant invoice to invoice@vshub.com which they will then process.

Step 3: You can choose to just buy one item and ship it back within 1 to 3 days (Express) or else 6 to 8 days for Standard Shipping.

They also allow free storage for 30 days which allows you to consolidate your purchases. For instance, if you are a blogshop owner  doing some major buying  from several resources or just in case within the next thirty days,  you the fashionista  , see and buy something else you like, which is very likely given the good deals you will find, you can just arrange for them all to be shipped together. The consolidation service allows you to maximize your mailing cost , after all they charge by exact weight  or volumetric weight.

Note: (Volumetric weight calculation (unit in kg) = [Width, (cm) x Height, (cm) x Length, (cm)]/ 6000)  whichever is higher.

NOTE: Taxes will need to be paid only if applicable and will be handled by www.vshub.com

vsHub provides door to door service . If however your product should  be detained at Customs for clearance due to whatever reason  you can arrange  to collect it yourself at the collection point downtown at Orchard Road.  But if you are in Malaysia, should Customs Department detain your product for whatever reason, you will have to clear it yourself at the Customs Office at the Headquarters  and that can be quite tedious.  But  since customers’ clearances and duties will be handled by vsHub when you use their service, all you have to do when you are ready for shipment- just log in and select shipment options, and wait for its arrival at your doorstep, easy!

Lastly, their rates are a good deal cheaper than what is charged by most international courier companies, so how  about that!My last experience  when I couriered a purchase for a totebag (about 0.5kg-1kg weight )  from USA using Fed Ex came down to about RM150-RM200.

So with 300,000 online stores in USA, oh my Goodness, Monday blues will never be the same again!

vsHub (www.vshub.com) currently only operates for the USA-Malaysia and USA -Singapore route.

“Register as a member now and stand a chance to win a RM200 shipping voucher equivalent to almost 4kg in shipping weights. Just send in your name to emmagem.com after you have registered and winners will be announced after 15th June 2009.”
