Glam Mums at Pavilion Studio
By: yetmee
Pavilion is celebrating Mother’s Day is a big way, from 5th May 2009 till 10th May 2009) for clincher, the first 300 customers who walk in their doors on the 10th May 2009, Mother’s Day itself , is going to receive a goody bag with loads of goodies from L’Occitane , Crabtree and Evelyn to name a few.
Next , for any purchase above RM200 in any stores in Pavilion on the same receipt, you will get a little card that allows you to choose from 2 packages for your mum or yourself if you are a mummy or aspiring mummy , and yes , if even it seems like motherhood is a hundred years away. One package is a full on pampering and make over session from make up (Bobbi Brown or Red Earth by Sasa), hair styling from Salon Esprit , hand massage from ( Crabtree And Evelyn or ~H2O~), and finally , last but not least a photography session just to commemorate this Mother’s Day. You could alternately take the Beauty package which also comes with a Dome coffee, if you are running late or feel shy about being seen to enjoy such pampering.
And oh, for EON Bank Pavilion cardholders, just for you, any purchases above RM500 (from any stores) will entitle you or your mum to a FREE Pierre Cardin trolley bag worth RM199, awesome deal or what. It is like eat and then take home some …
It is quite elegantly done, I mean, I don’t like having my my face stripped of make up in public and on a concourse for goodness’s sake, but the idea of doing it yesterday posed such a risque proposition and since I am into “do what you have never done before mode” lately, I figured the break and pampering will be interesting. So I did the full works, I tried make up with Bobbi Brown- their day look, I found out from their 10 Easy Steps Manual, how to apply blusher on the apple of my cheeks so that they look rosy , and very pinch-able. It was interesting to note that the selection of blusher is according to the color of my lips, I always thought being warm tone skin shade (yes, I have been to a colour consultation before) I should use darker blush, but they used a pink shade with peachy undertones and I must say having them on the apples of my cheek made them look cute even for day.
Then I had my hair styled and curled and at this stage I felt almost super chic except for one last spot of pampering I thought, for my hard working weather beaten hands.
So I chose to have that done at the ~ H2O~ counter. I was told, my hands really needed that pampering cause they were absorbing the lotion like tissue to water, very dry ….
Last but not least, I decided a professional photograph to commemorate the day is more than suitable, how often do I do all this without feeling guilty of wasting time or money, actually most mums will feel that way but if they only know what it feels like to be so pampered. So, I decided to abandon caution. struck some poses and pouts in the middle of the Pavilion concourse and thought, “yes, I am worth it!”… hmm, where did I hear that tag line before? Oh, the photo, I looked HOT, HOT thanks to wonders of computer graphics, maybe next time I should go for the J.Lo look.
By the way, there will be fashion shows at 1pm and 3pm on Mother’s Day…by brands like Coast, Variante and Gallo to name a few.
