3R – Respect, Relax & Respond is searching for a fresh new face for a new spin-off TV show called 3R Freshy. The award winning Malaysian show which focuses on women issues will be producing a fresh off the racks show for a younger crowd. As far as I’ve known, most of my friends and I grew up watching 3R on TV. Back then, Yuen, Azah and Rafidah were the pioneer hosts. Together, they tackled really hard issues on women and lifestyle like AIDS, smoking, cyber love, women firefighter, teen pregnancy and everything else, you name it, they’ve covered it. They also made sure girls knew our rights and know how to defend ourselves through videos and life stories. After a few seasons, they had several changes of hosts until now, on their 14th season coming soon, they have Rafidah (who came back), Celina and Kartini. Now, the veteran hosts of 3R are going to impart all their wisdom and experience to you. If you’ve always wanted to host your own TV show and have what it takes, read on!

Do you have what it takes to be 3R Freshy TV hosts?

This is no ordinary TV hosting job, but an important one, as you’ll be telling young teenagers important social issues. You’d have to be bold, love challenges, proactive, smart, fun-loving, passionate, able to multi task and of course, love to talk to the camera.

Embodying the characteristics and spirit of the 3R Freshy hosts, Dove is partnering 3R in a national online search for the tv series. From now onwards, head on to 3R’s website for the Dove 3R Freshy online application. If you’re aged between 18 and 24 years old and love the camera, you can apply to become a TV host. You’d have to answer a short questionnaire and post your photograph. You don’t have to be an experienced TV host, or a broadcast journalist, if you love hosting and are not shy in front of the camera, I say go ahead and send in your application.

50 semifinalists will be chosen from the photographs and you’ll be asked to create a 2 minute video to demonstrate your skills in hosting and tell everyone why you should be picked as the new face of 3R Freshy. Only 15 finalists will go through the final audition process. Now this is the fun part. all 15 of them will be attending a 3 day camp where they’ll be pushed to the limits via various tasks. Only 3 of you will be the host of the new program.
