Hippie magic
By: Cherrypop
How does one exude a carefree elegance that looks effortless yet chic? Easy - if you just take inspiration from the spring/summer runways and get your hands on items that remind you of living on the prairie (but with better style of course!).
The key to this look is pretty simple. Think fringing, feathers, embroidery, hints of gold and bronze and loose wavy hair….

At Diane Von Furstenberg, shift dresses went sequinned and glamorous and headbands cascaded down to one side.

Gucci epitomised palm prints like this one shoulder number in earthy tones paired with incredibly tall stiletto platforms, which reminds us of resort holidays,

Another flowing ombre number by Gucci.

Printed maxi dresses like this chiffon one by John Galliano is another easy way to wear the hippie trend.

You can also opt to luxe it up with some animal prints and satin harem pants like at Just Cavalli.
Here are some examples of items that will fit in perfectly with the whole look:

A tribal print maxi dress in blue and green tones can be worn with gold sandals and earrings.

Feathers are rather unexpected and if you are afraid of looking like one of our feathered friends, then a pair of earrings will add a nice touch to a simple tank and jeans. Add a sling bag and some wooden wedges.

This wrist cuff covered with feathers is an unusual piece and will definitely get people talking. It’ll even look good with a LBD at night.

Pair this headscarf with a white maxi dress and some bangles for a 70s look that’s easy to wear and right on trend.

A burnished ring like this looks antique and will go well with even vintage-style dresses.

A pair of embroidered sandals like this is almost reminiscent of gladiators, but is a little more special with the added beading. Pair this with skirts, shorts, pants - everything!

A necklace like this is bound to spice up the plainest blouse so wear with ease.

Beaded fringing in yellow makes it the centerpiece for this dress.

Loose, flowing tops like these can be paired with shorts and wedges.
