Max Mara’s spring offerings

Luxury Italian label MaxMara launched the largest MaxMara boutique in Southeast Asia at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. With the dress code themed classic chic, guests turned up in their chicest finery looking right on trend. Celebrities like Bernie Chan, Sarah Lian, Soong Ai-Ling and Danielle Graham were amongst those who were present at the fashionable event.

Emcee Bernie Chan led the show by introducing the guests of honour and inviting the to give a speech. This was then followed by a tour of the extensive boutique and the highlight of the evening: the Spring/Summer 2009 fashion show. We saw many beautiful, trendy pieces in great fabrics from 3 MaxMara lines: SportMax, Piano Forte and of course MaxMara.

The area just outside the boutique where guests could mingle.

The MaxMara store display – very nautical, crisp and light pieces.

Easy-to-wear, relaxed elegance in the form of harem trousers paired with a cardigan and a jaunty hat.

Patterned hem shorts paired with a loose top for a weekend of relaxation and a touch of cheekiness in the form of slip-on stilettos.

How’s this for layering? A pink bodysuit goes under a cropped cream top to reveal a hint of pink.

Matching a draped tulip skirt and a preppy stripe cardigan is perfect for the office.

This is a dress sure to turn heads – the print is only for the bold and daring. Black shoes with ribbon lace-ups complete the look.

A drop crotch jumpsuit only to be attempted by those who are lanky as the pants can make your legs look shorter.

An oversized white vest can be worn as a dress. Only to be attempted for a party or informal event.

Luxurious, silky pants are matched with a lightweight knit cowl neck jumper for an expensive look. For added shape, try a belt at the waistband of the pants.

A simple column dress is flattering and easily slipped on for a formal occassion.

A bright print like this is tropical and attention-grabbing. Perfect for the beach or even those cocktail events if paired with heels and a gold belt.

A double-breasted trench coat in sunny yellow perks up your day instantly so wear with a carefree attitude.

A great colour for most skin tones, vibrant blue can be made part of a wardrobe staple if matched with toned down accessories in black or cream for the office.

We don’t suggest you pair floral booties with this floral coat dress but sue sparingly. The coat will look great over cream coloured pants in a slim fit.

The models in MaxMara all in a row.

Max Mara is located in Pavilion, KL
