Fashion-forward label Pull and Bear recently showcased their Spring/Summer 09 collections at Pavilion KL with local band and newly appointed ambassadors for the label, One Buck Short performing at the launch. Influences for the new collection were drawn from various aspects of the L.A. lifestyle such as Lancaster desert scenes which could appear in films like Thelma and Louise, Venice Beach or Dogtown and Venice Beach boardwalk.

Guests saw denim jackets, cowboy hats and boots, check patterns, liberty prints and plenty of denim inspired by Lancaster, a street-like collection of nylon jackets, vests, caps and jeans spurred by Venice Beach and hippie style clothing comprising of headscarves, skinny pants and distressed T-shirts right off Venice Beach boardwalk. If one weren’t satisfied with the relaxed, upbeat clothing on offer, they could opt for the rocker style line with metal belts, band T-shirts, leggings and waistcoats inspired by rock bands like The Doors.

A preppy, casual look suitable for laid back weekends and college days.

Cartoon tees are a cute addition to any wardrobe. Paired with plaid shorts, the look is a little bit skater, a little bit prep school.
