When you think about rain boots, what comes to mind?

Some answered, it reminds them of Phua Chu Kang’s yellow boots. Which was what I was thinking too. Then when I asked them if they’d wear them, they all said yes! :) What say you? Would you wear them?

Its funny how in Malaysia, it rains so often, but we hardly see anyone wearing them here. The most I’ve seen are Aunties in the market donning them black rain boots while selling fish and crabs in the wet market. Maybe the reason why we don’t wear them is because we can only get those aunty market black boots here in Malaysia. I’ve seen some sort of boot at Forever 21 which seriously resembled Phua Chu Kang’s boots, only it was not bright yellow, but mustard yellow.

It always rains here in Malaysia like seriously out of no where, the sky turns dark and it will pour like nobody’s business. The most annoying part is when it rains at 6pm just when you’re about to walk to your car park. Dressed to the nines in your best outfit and suede shoes, you have to brace the rain. I never thought about wearing boots to keep my feet dry.

Just yesterday, we found a online store based in the USA which sells super adorable rain boots. This shop is called Plueys. Plueys sells really adorable rubber boots which are for the rainy season. If you love your suede and leather shoes, please do not get them wet in the rain, instead, get a pair of Plueys. Put one in your office or in your car and wear them when it is raining heavily.
