Cage me up
By: karenmarie
I recently came across a lot of caged items while browsing my usual dose of fashion magazines, blogs and sites. YSL showcased this awesome caged low boots on their Spring/Summer 09 catwalks. Which looks painful for some and a lot like an architectural design unfinished building skeleton. It is very much inspired by the Eiffel tower don’t you think? I bet it is not as painful as it looks. I think it should be a comfort to the feet as it encloses the whole feet with leather.
What do you think?

The patent cage platform heels and the not so high and cage-like ankle heel from YSL

Kathryn Amberleigh Patent Caged Lace Back Heeled Sandals (Asos.com) looks more feminine.

Cage sort of heels are everywhere. Here we have one worn by celebs. This ASOS premium cage platform shoes were seen worn by celebs like Nicky Hilton, Nicola Roberts (Girls Aloud). Aren’t they gorgeous on the feet?
This is another adaptation of cage in a skirt form.

It is just the cage frame kinda skirt that is worn above another piece of bottom as a layering effect. You can go wild on your imagination on this skirt. All the shoes, except the first two, look nice. And that skirt? Definitely not an easy fashion statement to fall for…

Lea: Yeah, the YSL one a bit OTT, but the others are quite awesome right? Now, if only they have it in my size….lols

Alicia: Lea and I hear your pain, as we are also in that size. The only place which has high heels in our size is like at Forever 21. which is a pinch in our pockets!

Gosh.. talking about shoe size, even Crocs Malaysia only has the largest size 9 for women Crocs! Meanwhile Crocs International has up to size 12! How unfair! I hope my feet wont grow any bigger! Hahaha…
