I love music!

I eat, sleep, drive, study, work with music. I know many of us live by music and we just can’t go anywhere without listening to music. I mean come on. We usually listen to music in the car, either radio, or CD’s or Mp3’s on car. When we go on a long trip on the plane, we listen to mp3 players. When we call someone, we hear a music from our favourite artist. Now we can even listen to music as we’re dialing other people’s number from the caller tunes.

I used to remember when I was a young teenager, there were no such things as caller tunes or mp3 enabled phones. 12 year olds hardly had hand phones back then. Only the select few had the privileged to use a hand phone (and we called them brats). So, we the, not so privileged, used to buy pop magazines because we wanted to keep a little something from our fave stars. My number one priority was being the first among my gang to get the magazine because I wanted to be the first to show off to my friends I have the latest picture of my favorite stars. Of course, when you love an artist, you would go all out to support the artist. I used to cut out their pictures and lyrics from the magazines and paste it on our notebooks so that we could sing along to it on our cassette player. I used to collect posters of all the pop artist, cut them and paste them on my wall.

I still have them now. Too sayang to throw them away. See, I still have proof:

That was way back then - in the late 90’s. Fast forward to teenagers in this century, magazines are like an ancient way of getting any info from artists. We have like, blogs and hand phones to get the latest goss on our favorite stars. People now memorize songs by putting them on their mobiles as their latest ring tones. Posters? What posters, we download wallpapers now!

Music has never been so accessible.
