Well, it was the ultimate luxe experience, penthouse (only RM10,00o a night) it oodles comfort and decadence where Biotherm launched their Celluli Laser Intensive Night , their professional laser body care which synchronizes with the body’s biological clock. Why the emphasis on night because night is when the action happens if you are a cellulite anyway.

At the launch we were treated to a talk by Kevin Zahri health and fitness instructor, speaker and writer on all things healthy with some very useful tips on eating habits and how to lose weight. I am so inspired now.  Later at the unveiling of the product  in bedroom upstairs we were treated to yet another “surprise” hiding in the closet or “boudoir” if you  will, pole dancing by the girls from Viva Vertical, awesome. Every move deliberate and sensuous, yet from the looks of these girls’ bodies, it is quite a workout   although they made it look quite effortless!

Some trivia on cellulite formation:

• night is when the body rest and most of what is consumed is stored into fats. actually 5 time more  because the body secretes less insulin in the morning and when the body is at rest it doesn’t transform sugar into energy but straight as fats in a process called lipogenesis.
• So where do the new formed fats go to , well, they are stored in fat cells awaiting usage of energy in a process called lipolysis. So meanwhile ,  the accumulation of unused fat cells underneath the skin is what we call cellulite and has the appearance of  dimples on affected skin looking not dissimilar to  orange peel, fat cells can actually expand as much as 100 time , whoa!
• When body is lying in a state of stasis ( I am feeling every important right now , with all these big words  like STASIS and every other …sis)

Which in a nutshell means lazing around, poor circulation of fluids causes more water retention.

So, how does Biotherm’s new product does it…. well through technology and active ingredients like rutin salts , caffeine,  sericoside , ruscus and grape extract which  effectively counters the anti storage, fat burning active and trio of anti water retention botanicals.

Biotherm claim that the Night Celluli can give up to 0.8cm less peel will result in just 10 nights, which according to them is a strong claim but I have often read that most cellulite product work the first 14 days because it is really just eliminating water retention instead of the cellulite itself.

But we did meet some of their VIP customers who are diehard fans so maybe there is some truth to their claims in the long run….
