Sinfully Decadent Schokolart
By: Rachel Desiree
Did you know, it has been said that eating chocolate replicates the feeling of being in love? Well, that gave me the perfect excuse to give-in to temptation and indulge at the recent tea party of Schokolart @ Solaris Mont Kiara.
As I walked towards the salon-lounge, I immediately noticed that it boasts a fantastic view of the entire city from the Petronas Twin Towers an even Genting Highlands. Upon entering Schokolart’s doors, it was love at first sight. I was taken in by the stylishly chic interior, noting that the retro-looking chairs had truly complemented the modern bronze mirror-tiled bar. Contemporary and fashionable, I knew this outlet would surely be a hit among the ladies.

Some of the savouries that were served included the Pumpkin Dreams soup, Roesti served with two different types of Bratwursts and also Chocolate Satay (you read that right). The soup was smooth and appetizingly creamy while the Roesti and Bratwursts was amazingly full of tang.

Here comes the best part of the entire meal, the one-of-a kind chicken satay. A popular dish with locals, who would have thought of going out-of-the-box and marinating the chicken in bittersweet chocolate. Well, the geniuses at Schokolart did- and it tasted awesome. It was full of flavour and had a great taste I would never forget!

Expect to find an extensive menu of drinks and desserts, mainly concocted with pure dark chocolates. Mmmm…how lovely. I tried out their popular iced drink, “Soul-Mate”- a dark chocolate-peanut butter shake, guaranteed to be one’s soul mate upon the first taste. Although I don’t care much for peanut butter, but I have to admit this drink was delicious!

I love chocolate mousse and I couldn’t wait for the Threesome (yup, that’s what they call it). The amazing combination of milk chocolate mouse, choc crumble, shaved white chocolate, whipped cream and cinnamon tea biscuits melted in my mouth, and I could feel the happiness kick in. We were even presented with four pieces of Swiss chocolates each for the chocolate tasting session. The earl grey was my absolute fav simply because it was dark choc.

After all that chocolate in me, I felt light, happy and contented. I realised that no matter how much Chocolates I’ve had, I just can’t get enough of them. So ladies, you now know where to go to get your chocolate fix. Happy indulging!!
