The Heart Truth’s Red Dress Collection Fall 2009

The number ONE killer of women is the heart disease. For the past few consecutive years, the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and partner organizations sponsored the event called The Heart Truth. Its main goal is to remind women about the killer disease and what better way of reminding them than to wear a red sexy dress as a symbol.
To kick off the event, the organization presented their collection of red dresses to be auctioned off at the Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week just last Friday and it was star studded event with celebrities joining the cause. They were all clad in beautiful red dresses as an inspiring way to give everyone a kickstart to keep their heart healthy. These red dresses are one of a kind and designed by over 20 designers. They include: Badgley Mischka, Betsey Johnson, Calvin Klein, Carmen Marc Valvo, Carolina Herrera,Catherine Malandrino, Daniel Swarovski, David Meister, Diane von Furstenberg, Donna Karan, Kevan Hall, Marc Jacobs, Marchesa, Max Azria, Michael Kors, Monique Lhuillier, Narciso Rodriguez, Nicole Miller, Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren, Tracy Reese, Vera Wang, Verrier, Zac Posen.
