It’s almost Valentine’s Day…
By: Cherrypop
And we bet you’re scratching your well-coiffed heads over what to wear for that special day that you or your partner may have planned. Well have no fear…we have put together some outfit ideas should you decide to have a picnic with nature, a dinner and movie date, a fun, action-filled day, or a private night indoors with you (or him) preparing dinner!
Picnic:

You’ll want something comfortable yet pretty to lounge around and and this Jill Stuart Noelle dress will do just the trick. The print silk-jersey dress has scoop neckline and asymmetrical ruffled overlay at the bodice which will help detract attention if you have a large or small bust (the overlay minimises the bust area while allowing the eye to scan over it, therefore detracting from the area)

This silver expandable bangle set in silver plated recycled metal by Alex and Ani Russian is delicate and goes well with a floral dress

A pair of studs like these St Kilda Jess studs in sterling silver with sapphire stones brings out the blue in the dress and is a great finish to the outfit

If you might get chilly from the wind, bring along a wrap like this Love Quotes hand knotted fringe scarf in linen and viscose

Add some kick to a girlie outfit with a pair of grey gladiator flat thong sandals by Belle by Sigerson Morrison
Dinner and movie:

You want to be comfortable and trendy at the same time, so a pair of harem pants by Warehouse in recycled silk is a great option instead of jeans or pants

Ensure you tuck this Lauren Conrad jersey strapless top into the pants for a balanced silhouette (fitted on top, loose on the bottom)

This S.W.O.R.D Lucca leather jacket is a great cover up if you get chilly in cinemas

There’s no need for bangles or rings with a watch like this Freelook jewelled watch with Swarovski crystal details. It’s so glamorous that it dresses up your look anytime. The band is 18k gold-plated

Drape this Citrine by the Stones Constantina 18k gold plated necklace to highlight your shoulders

Finish off your outfit with these gorgeous Sergio Rossi Shaira open toe T-strap heels. The nude tone matches the shade of the harem pants and pulls the look together

Underneath it all, wear this for a little surprise for him later: Yes Master for ASOS satin frill multi-way push-up bra and satin frill brief
Active:

If you are one half of a couple who loves getting active, even on Valentine’s Day (think rock climbing as a date!), this pretty Elizabeth and James double layer tank is an ideal match for your sporty gear. With chiffon lining, it can even be worn paired with jeans or a skirt on another ocassion!

To cool down, throw this Ben Sherman Bomber Jacket over yourself. The bright blue matches the blue tank top you have on underneath

Wear cotton track pants by Franklin & Marshall track pants with an elasticized waistband and ankles for ultimate comfort

Okay, this might not be an ideal workout shoe, but it looks really good worn! Change into this Juicy Couture patent delia sneaker after you’re done running around (wear proper shoes when you are excercising!)

Have this around your waist for all your essentials: Le Sportsac Frieda Waist bag with large zipper pocket, small zipper pocket and 3 patch pockets

Wear a proper sports bra underneath your shirt. This one by VPL is a good option
A night in:

Nights in are really simple to dress for. While you don’t want to look like a complete slob wearing shorts and a tee, you don’t want to overdress in a cocktail frock either. This Alice + Olivia beaded yoke dress with stones at the neckline doesn’t require any jewellery and it looks pretty barefoot too (since you’ll be indoors!)

Wow him after dinner in this lacey Elle Macpherson ‘Artistry’ All Over Lace Padded Bra and Shorts set
Most importantly, have fun on Valentine’s Day and don’t stress out if things don’t go according to plan; the best part is spending the day with each other! Have fun!
